I've been looking for a bar, plates, and a rack on craigslist and so far have only found a good deal on the weight plates. Do all plates have the same size hole in the middle to fit in any olympic bar? thanks

sorry i found my answer in the FAQ standard 1in and olympic 2in is every bar and plate labeled with standard or olympic??

No, however it's pretty obvious when looking at the bars.
Standard = 1" bar from end to end...no change in size.
Standard plates = 1" hole in the center.
Olympic bars = two inch rotating sleeve (in 95% of the cases) on the end.
Olympic plates = 2" hole in the center.
