Good morning everybody, I have a small topic for discussion, bringing up lagging body parts.

I feel that my chest is behind is total symmetry and I really want to bring it up to par. I have about 14 weeks left until my competition in May. I was thinking about having a workout for chest about twice a week, trying to space out the days in between the best I can.

I am wondering if anyone has any tips for this type of ordeal, and also if I should take my biggest body part and train it less frequently.

Any tips are appreciated.

It is very unlikely u will make any gains in size while in a caloric deficit. Focus on getting lean and leave growing/improving lagging bodyparts for the offseason. I suggest maybe having ur refeed day on chest day to keep muscle loss to a minimum.

I agree w/ this.

You just simply cannot add muscle to your body while in a caloric deficit. I know it's a common belief that you can...but where is your body going to find the energy required to synthesize new tissue, when it doesn't even have enough energy to maintain the tissue it already has?

Thanks for the advice dudes, I think it would be a terrific idea to do chest on my refeed day.

I agree with the other posts, you won't grow, only refine while you're in a defecit

Try and sculpt the muscle and get it as lean as possible to try and hide it's weaknesses
compared to other parts of your body and get after it in the off-season to improve it

Hitting your weakest body part on a refeed day is also great advice, it will allow you to push out a few more sets, I normally save my refeeds for leg day..

Best of luck

i suppose you could prolly detail the muscle, more muscle seperation and maybe nice striations. but learn how to pose and u can hide everything

My body is actually being weird right now, I'm getting leaner but staying the same weight. Must be something in my cereal ;)

But seriously does anyone know why my body is doing this? any studies out there?

Yeah that might be it, I'm not crazy into counting calories yet, mostly fulfilling the protein/carb/fat and no cheating.
