this has been something that i've been dealing with for a few months now. all my favorite jeans won't go up past my knees. shirts are a bit tight across my back and sleeves dig into my arms. most boots won't zip up past my calves.
i'm starting to feel like the incredible hulk
how does everyone else deal with it? i unfortunately don't have any girl friends who lift, let alone exercise, so i'm pretty lost here.
what do most athletic girls wear? i pretty much wear leggings and sweaters now a days and try to look professional.
sorry guys, i'm at a complete lose here.

Are you bulking?
I find that although my scale weight hasn't dropped all my clothes fit way better, in fact I've just gone down a jeans size.

I'm bulking and I've gone up 1 size so far. I dealt with it by just buying some new clothes. I didn't buy a lot but I bought a few new pairs of pants (shirts still fit ok). Try to remember that your clothing size is JUST a number. I'm a size 6 now and I look a lot better than I did last time I was a size 6! So why get hung up on it? You will feel much more confident if you're fitting into your clothes.

First congrats on the good work, I would recommend new clothes. Recently had to replace all my dress shirts because my collar extender wasn't doing the job anymore. 15.5" to 17" neck, feels good bro. The worst part is when your legs get to the point where its hard to find jeans that fit.

LOL, yeah you're just going to have to keep buying new clothes. I just had the same problem with my button down work shirts. I can barely squeeze them on, and they're tight across my back and on my arms all day which sucks, but I have lost the ability to take them off. The day you come home from work, get stuck in your shirt, and have to get out the scissors to free yourself is the day you need to break down and buy a new wardrobe. :D
I never wear jeans, and when I'm not at work I stick to atheletic pants and shirts with a little room so I'm comfortable. I have a hell of a time finding nice shirts if I need to dress up. Women's clothes are just made weird, I'm not even that big at all and if they don't have XL shirts or bigger then it's not happening.

before i started working out most of my jeans had begun been getting a little snug around the waist, fit fine everywhere else. well once i started training, i lost a little weight around the waist and all of a sudden i had no jeans to wear cuz they all were falling off, tried a belt but it just looked goofy, recently i have been increasing my weight/intensity with legs and all of these same pairs of jeans are a huge struggle to get up over my thighs lol, once i squeeze them on, they are still loose on the waist! haha my solution? stop buying skinny jeans, and look for the "wide leg" style. depending on ur situation, you might want to be excited about this "problem". if ur bulking, then suck it up, finish the bulk and when you cut you have something nice to show for it :)

Yeah, definitely! I recently discovered that the trouser cuts (wide legs) are fabulous if you have a small waist and big legs and a big butt. So comfortable.

talked with some of the girls on the team the other day and apparently we're all going through the same thing. we don't buy jeans anymore and we practically live in leggings.
i never was into skinny jeans and the last pair i bought i got 3 sizes too big and took the waist in.
my husband goes through the same thing with his jeans. and the rare times that he needs dress pants, it's a pain in the ass to find a pair that fits his quads.
it's not so much that i'm upset about the whole thing, i'm just....confused. and i kinda wanted reassurance that i'm not alone. i also just wonder why they don't make stuff for 'athletic' people.
i'm not bulking up or anything, i just got bigger from lifting. my waist size is pretty much the same, my quads and calves are just bigger.

yes we all experience this, really its something to rejoice about. ive been trying so hard to get my legs to grow so it made me pretty happy. actually, the specific pair of jeans that helped me come to this realization have not been hung back up, they are folded on my desk and ive tried them on/or at least attempted to, a bunch of times in the last 3 weeks just to make sure theyre still tight and that i wasnt just bloated that day. every time i do this and realize they still dont fit my calves and thighs, i get excited, its a good boost for a bad day/ mood.
