View Full Version : had a great bulk diet and workout routine need help with cut diet/workout routine

ive been bulking for 8 months and have put on some decent size. im currently 210lbs with 20% bf. i was 195lbs with 23% bf in may. i have used the tri phase workout routine from scivation. now i have started a cut for the summer but need help with a good workout routine. i workout 4 times a week with cardio after. does anyone have a good workout routine that i could try during my cut. i usually dont lighten up the load when lifting i want my metaolism to keep burning. here is a sample of my workout routine:

monday: chest/back
deads
bench press/incline-super
chinups/rows-super
back extension/abs

all sets increase each week: 2,3,4,5x10 increasing the weight each week if possible.

tuesday: bi/tris
st8 barbell curl/ tricep pushdown palms down-super
ez barbell preacher/skull crusher-super
dumbell hammer curl/ tricep rope pushdown-super

weds: shoulders/traps
miltary dumbell press/ dumbell shrug
dumbell lat raise/ barbell shrug
cable front raise/ incline dumbell shrug

thusday: off

Friday:off

saturday: legs

squats
leg extension/leg curl
calf raise machine
leg press machine
stiff leg deads-light weight 185-205lb

i was thinking that but, i think my body will be taxed. supersets take a lot out of me, i dont rest inbetween sets because of time constrictions. when i was in college all i did was supersets but i dont recover as quickly anymore.

As the above poster said, keep the same training plan but just cut the calories for the cutting phase of your training.

thanks i am starting tomorrow 1800 calories a day see how it goes.
