View Full Version : Saddlebags and butt work

I am going to attempt to start training for my first bodybuilding/figure show in May. I am really leary about it though because I have a great upper body but my lower body is a runner's body, meaning, it's lean in the leg area, I have shape though, but from being fat and skinny so many times in my life, my butt is saggy and my side thighs are ugly. :( I am really going to need a miracle to change this. Any ideas for fast changes? I did weights tonight and my legs were shaky. I won't be running like I was. I will be, if they decide to accept me at the meeting/bikini appearance on Sunday, working with a team.

I am totally obsessed with having a booty too! As a white girl uhum, it doesnt come so easy. I do tons of squats very heavy and deadlifts and every butt exercise I can find on you tube. It has paid off, but did take time and the minute I stop, it all goes away. I focus mostly on my lower body. I seem to almost grow too big on my upper body. Just you tube butt exercises and do them all lol.

Thanks! Yeah, lunges and squats... I did wt machines tonight and my legs are all shaky, I just didn't concentrate on the leg area before because it always ruined my running legs. :)

1. Squats to where your hip joint is just below the knee joint and you will really work your glutes.
1a. SLDL's or the way i like them done best is Romanaian style it is called- little bend in the knee, and begin by dropping glutes straight back as you descend the bar and keep it right along the body and the movement is all in the hip joint as the back remains nice and tight or almost arched in the lower back region and go down as far as you can without rounding your back and and as you begin to ascend with the bar pinch your glutes together and drive to a standing position without totally standing straight and repeat
2. Walking lunges with weights with good healthy strides and the back remains perpendicular to the ground so the stretch remains on the glutes and nnot the lower back
3. Bulgarian Split squats w one food back on the bench and use a smith machine-want to talk about how your glutes will be sore even before being done
4. Try the leg press machine with a single leg at a time, make sure leg is in the same place as if doing both feet together so you are in normal anatomical position, want to see how the body compensates when the other side is taken out? then try these!

all this will hit your glutes and tone that butt right up
