I figured my BMR & TEE using 2 different methods (Harris-Benedict & Katch-McArdle) and then averaging the 2.

Harris: My BMR came to 1331.68 with activity factor (I used 1.4) 1864
Katch: My BMR came to 1275.25 with activity factor 1785

I averaged the 2 figures giving me 1824 and then reduced this by 10% to give me total calories of 1642.

I'm unclear if I figured the Macronutrients correctly and this is where I need a little guidance.

I came up with 84 grams of protein or 336 calories, 49 grams of fat or 441 calories and 216 of carbs or 865 calories.

I am 48 and weigh 140 and have started back working with weights and would like to do less cardio. My goal weight is 125 lbs. Do these figures seem right? I thought that 49 grams of fat seems like alot. I used .6/lb for protein and .35g/lb for fat then deducted from those arrive at the carbs. These calculation come to 20% Protein/27% Fat/53% Carbs.

Can someone tell me if I've done this correctly? I was reading the sticky Calculating Calorie Needs and Macronutrients Emma-Leigh. http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=121703921

Just wanting to make sure I fully understand. Thanks for all the help.

Keep in mind that the numbers you got for protein and fats are the bare minimum. Especially with cutting, you probably should get your protein higher at at least 1-1.5g/lb. Protein and fats also increase satiety, so having more of those will help keep you saner on a cut.

If I were you, I would go with something more like 135g protein, 135g carbs, 62g fat for total cals of 1638.
