Burpees are one of the best way to preserve mass and shred fat out there. I'd make it easy and post a link to the end all tell all burpees page but my inexperience on this forum prevents it, but if you were to simply google Ross Enamait burpees you'll find all information you will need. Good luck, burpees make me hate life but cannot deny the results.

Try adding a jumping pullup at the end of the movement. Stand under a pwr rack and after jumping at the end of the burpee movement, grap the crossbar for the power rack and pull yourself up, then drop down. It's not easy...and my clients love it (sorta)

I am a rugby player and we do these things religiously. Another great one is "ManMakers" They are a great workout for shredding fat and maintaining muscle but for overall fat loss don't forget its mostly about your diet. I know in sports like football and rugby some coaches will keep you on a high calorie diet to keep you big. Calorie deficit, expend more than you take in and you'll cut up quickly. Also, establish a good cardio and resistance training schedule.

Burpees are cool, but everything you need is here: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/fat-loss-for-athletes-part-1.html

Cliffs: eat less and lift heavy weights

when doing them do you just keep going or do you take breaks and if you do take breaks how long are they?

You'd probably want to do them with some kind of interval style: Doing a set number or for a set time, rest, and repeat.

But don't forget diet!

Try doing 20 sets! First set 20 reps, second set 19 reps, 3rd set 18 reps and so on with 30 sec rest in between! Your last set should have 1 rep! Sure to make someone passout! When the standard ones are not challenging enough, add a pull up at the end of each rep!
