Hi Guys
Wondering if you can help.
Iv read so many things on this forum about how beneficial Fish Oils can be for joints. If you dont already know i had a SLAP debridement 9 weeks ago. I purchased a few tubs of Fish Oils yesterday on recommendations from many of you guyson this forum. What i need to know is what is a good dose to take. My pills are 1200mg Fish Oil and 360mg of EPA/DHA per capsule and it says take only 3 capsules a day and do not exceed that dose! However it seems some of you guys mega dose on these and take upto 12 a day. I would like to take that but i am wary now due to the label saying 'do not exceed dose'
Any advice would be great. My operated shoulder is still sore and my other shoulder and both knees bother me. 25 and i have the joints of an old man.
Thanks

all it is is fish oil.... it should say that it has been purified and all the toxins (mercury) were removed... the fish oil i buy from costco says this... as long as it says they cleaned it on the bottle i dont see why you couldnt take more than 3... its just fat!

I take 6,000 mg./daily along with other "joint-type health" supplements. I've been taking this amount for a month now. My shoulders do feel better now, however, I wonder if the Fish Oil had a small part or is it the body's natural heeling process that helped me along?
Feeling better now means that I have better range-of-motion and not in constant pain. I do have problems with OH and/or pressing movements. I can only handle light weight for now, however this is a great leap forward as I could not even pick up a single weight a couple months ago or let alone raise my arm upwards.
I'm currently being evaluated to R/O any labrum issues and/or other structural issues with my (L) shoulder. For what little I know, I hope this helps. Good luck!

I'm doing fish oil daily, I just double up on what the label suggests. I do glucosamine as well, doubled up too since I'm close to 240 lbs. I feel a difference from taking both, have to read up on cissus since I hear a lot about it.
