Ok. I need help. I am willing to do anything - hard butt-busting work, perfect diet, etc.
I just want to be lean and tone before June, 2011. This means I need to drop at least 20 pounds of fat.
I am getting married in June, and I am determined to look good in a bikini for once in my life. I am 32 years old, and probably 20 lbs or so over my "ideal" weight. I currently weight 158, and I'm 5ft 7in tall. I would like to get down into the 130's. The lowest weight I have ever been is 132, but I didin't do it the right way and everyone thought there was something wrong with me. I basically just didn't eat much. And even though I was skinnier, I was still skinny-fat. I don't want to lose any muscle I have, but I DO want to lost this fat I have!!!
I have a hard time sticking to routines if I don't see results fairly quickly - I'll admit that.
I just want to look and feel my best before June. By April? Is that possible? And if so, how??? I am looking for fast as possible results. Of course, I know more than half of the population does too, but I am willing to do the work, I just need a plan. Are there any plans that you would recommend for me to reach my goals by April?
SO - sorry I am desperate. But from all of you pro's out there, can anyone help me out? To get to my goal as quickly as possible? I need all of the help I can get. Obviously.

Generally, you'll lose about a pound a week with a tight diet and good, consistent training routine. What diets usually work for you?
As a start, cut out anything that's processed. Sugars, sodas, boxed foods, frozen foods (unless they are *actually* healthy, but no tv dinners or anything), candy and white breads and flours all need to go in exchange for veggies, fruits and complex carbs such as steel cut oats, sweet potatoes, whole ground wheat breads and flours.
What are your maintenance calorie levels?
Are you currently working out at all?
If you can give us more info, as in usual diet, calories in/out, routines and cardio, body comp measurements, it's easier to help.

I decided to start Chalean Extreme, and I am considering adding in extra cardio. I was thinking Chalean extreme in the morning, and moderate cardio at lunch or after work. I am wondering if I would see faster results by working out like this twice a day, with a rest day or two each week.
I just struggle the most with a good clean diet. I have a hard time calculating how many calories I should be eating. Even with the Stickies on the subject, it still confuses me. Too much information :)
I have been training with weights on and off for a few years, but for the past 6 months, I have hardly done a thing. I am not afraid to do the work to reach my goals. I look at the results of Tiffany Forni and I am just amazed. I want to make a dramatic transformation too, I just wonder if I can do it by April?

Start by keeping a journal. It's the best way to keep yourself honest. Write down everything you put in your mouth, EVERYTHING. Write down your workouts, anything that could be constituted as exercise. Take your weight at the beginning of every week and a few important measurements (the ones that are the most important to you). Make sure you do it at same time/spots to keep consistency.
Everyone's body responds differently, sometimes it take a little experimentation. But overall, it's calories in vs calories out. And if you want to have muscle and not just be 'skinny fat', it's quality of calories in. When you are honest and writing eveything down, it's easier to see where you are messing up or what changes you need to make! It helps you be totally honest with yourself! Best of luck to you!

LIFT LIFT LIFT - and try the CKD diet. It's almost not like a diet at all and really works - and fast! If you check out my forum there's a sample of the workout, diet, and a breakdown in specifics of how it works.
Good luck!

You can definitely see some great changes in 4 months, but you likely won't be perfectly happy with your body, especially if you don't have a lot of muscle mass to begin with. If you say you were skinny-fat before at a lower weight and haven't been lifting heavy since then, you likely won't be more ripped this time around. However, to maintain what muscle mass you do have as you cut, lift heavy and don't cut at crazy low cals.
My 4 month cut progress (Honeymoon was in there somewhere, I ate a ton for 2 weeks, so part of that time was cutting the regain) pics are here:

I was on Starting Strength for most of that time, then switched to NROLFW for a bit. Ate on average 1750-ish cals/day (lower for 6 days a week with one refeed, not necessary but kept my sanity). Went from 142 to 126 lb at 5'6". Check out the calorie and macro thread, figure out your needs and track your food. There is no need to cut out any particular foods as long as you hit your macro and cal goals.
I'm bulking now, as even though I was flabbier on the bottom than I liked, I was getting too lean up top and knew I needed more muscle.
