Not to sound gross but why do I have so much back fat. According to skin caliper measurements I have more fat on my back in the kidney region than I do in my stomach. Why??? Is there anything I can do? I am already on a fat loss plan, cardio and 4x week strength training w/heavy weights. I know you cannot spot reduce but are there certain back exercises I should be focusing on that will help that area a bit more?

It's genetics. I have more fat on my hips and thighs than I do on my stomach. Certain exercises won't help it all comes down to diet and being in a caloric deficit to lose the fat on your back.

We all hold weight differently and while it may feel weird to you, I'm sure there are some women who are wishing their tummies would migrate to their back! lol
Just keep the diet solid, keep lifting. It'll go away in its own time :)

I completely understand! Most of mine is around the kidney area to and a bit on my outer hips sigh. It will go in time, sadly the body loses where it wants lol.

Ahh! I know how you feel! Are you talking about the back fat that shows when you wear a tight shirt because of your bra? I absolutely hate that. I'm kind of a newbie, but I found an exercise that is supposed to target that specific area. If you lay on the floor (or mat or whatever) on your stomach, and put your hands/arms so your thumbs are up and facing the ceiling and slowly raise your arms and then lower them back down to the mat I found that it really targets that area! It probably won't get rid of the fat per say, but it might help tone the muscle and might help a little!
