contest prep. im 17 weeks out. dieting is locked in starting on monday. i have 225g of protein, 47g of fat and 194g of carbs. how do those macros look? and for cardio? how much should i look to do, or calories to burn? i also read a few things about HITT on off days? need opinions? if needed bf% between 13-15%. weight is at 175 and i want to compete in 158's

Its a science.
Start with those calories/macros for a few weeks and see how your body changes. Then adjust the macro's from there.
In terms of cardio, as Layne says there is nothing wrong with doing them both. If you can handle HIIT after lifting then do that. I personally lift so hard I could NEVER do a HIIT session afterwords.
In terms of cardio frequency. Im a fan of less work, less food. I'd rather eat 400 calories less than eat the 400 and burn it off. Always worked well with me.
