Hey guys ,
Have been browsing the forums a little trying to pick up some more tips to help with losing fat.Well i guess i should start with my current progress and what i'm doing (I'm a complete noob so bare that in mind)

I'm 6'3" and started at 330lbs.
I'm now on week 11 since i started and i'm down to 248lbs
(my BMI is 31.0 down from in the 40's)

My general work out routine stays the same with a few additions added whenever i can afford it , but as it stands this is it ;

2 mile uphill walk (everyday)
30 mins of cycling (everyday) *cover around 8-10km*
30 mins of hitting a punch bag (40kg bag bursts/flurrys 3 mins at a time 1 min intervals. usualy slowing down towards the end quite heavily) (everyday)
2 mile run (2-3 times a week)
2 x 20 dumbell curls (everyday)
and starting next week i'll be playing american football twice a week (training and game)

I've been very strict on my diet i've had two "bad" meals in 3 months nearly (have never exceeded my daily limit that i set myself, I'm mainly only eating protein and various meats (ALOT of fish/chicken) very little else and cosuming around 1200-1400 calories a day.Saying that .. for 4 weeks i only consumed 800-1000 calories a day and lost alot less weight that month.

Ofcourse i've seen results losing 8 inches on my waist dropping 3 shirt sizes and seeing definition poking through in my legs and biceps.
I was just wondering if there's anything else i could do to step it up? am i doing anything drasticly wrong ? anything i could improve on? (calorie intake is a worry for me i'm not sure on what i should be eating). My fitness is amazing compared to what is was and i've done 20km on the bike without stopping or slowing before , I'm focused enough and look foward to my working out now.
As in the title ANY help would be very greatly appreciated!

(Sorry if this is the wrong section)

Congrats on the weight loss and all the hard work that you've put in!

82 pounds in 11 weeks is a lot - perhaps too much even. Honestly, I would consider slowing the weight loss down a little bit by increasing how much you eat by about 500 calories/day. Is your main goal still to reduce fat or are you wanting to gain some muscle?

2 x 20 curls every day probably isn't doing much for you. I'd recommend doing 5-10 reps with a heavier weight every other day. Maybe do some pushups, pullups, situps, dips, wall squats, etc. If you do any exercise to failure, make sure you give yourself a day to recover before doing it again.

The progress you have made is phenominal! Stick with it, and don't get discouraged if progress starts to slow. It's a lot easier to go from 330 to 250 than 250 to 170.

Awesome job on the weight reduction Sir! You have a hell of a lot more discipline with the cardio work than I ever will.

PeterG is correct, the DB curls are doing you no good at this point, not as far as building any muscle goes at least.

If you have access to weights, I suggest you add a full body work out 3x/wk into the mix, you can find examples of these in the Supersite. Any muscle you can add is gonna stoke the furnace even higher, so to speak.

Awesome job and Good luck with the rest!

Thanks for the support! I didn't start off doing as much but i've had to add in extra exercises and longer times to maintain the weight loss at it's current rate.I may invest in some heavier weights depending on what i can afford/information i can find out , with regards to wanting to lose fat or gain muscle ... i mean i'm naturally heavy set and i'd say the muscle i have now is great (would just like to be able to see it more as i know there's some good stuff under there)
Just one question , I've heard alot i should be eating more .. but if i understand correctly you lose weight by burning more then you cosume , so eating less = good?(Is there such a thing as losing weight "too fast?") Forgive me if that's incredibly dumb but as i said above i know nothing really
thanks again for the reply.

Thanks for the support! With regards to the weights.. All the gyms in reasonable distance to me are very poor , i don't drive and 2 hours on a bus 3 times a week is a little much.Like i said in the previous reply i'd have to invest in some weights but i'm pretty clueless and don't have that much money to throw around , the bag is doing pretty good on my arms and shoulders (don't know if that's in my head or what)
