So I figured this place would be as good as any to start a journal for the 2011 Transformation Challenge. I also would like to step on the stage at some point this year. The way I figure it, you gotta crawl before you can run so why not start here.

Background info:
Started lifting at 20. Gained decent size, cut down to about 225 @~14%bf but have been slacking for the past few years. Developed a few serious medical issues related to being overweight and have come to a point where it's either do or die. FWIW, my handle has to do with the fact I'm wearing a heart monitor...at the age of 28. :-/ I'll make it though ;)

Even though I've been lifting for several years, I don't really know how to write a good program. I've just be winging it for several years. I know the basics but get lost in the weeds when it comes to dialing in something specific for me. SO, I'm going to be following the recommended workout plan for the first few weeks until I get back into the swing of things. Same goes for dieting for the most part. I just need to make a few changes. Their calorie intake is like 1700 whereas I need something like 25-2700.

So let's get to it...

Legs:
Treadmill warm-up
SLDL 3x10x135
Unilateral Leg Curl 3x10x80,90,90
Unilateral Leg Ext 3x10 70, 85, 85
Leg Press 3x10 280, 370, 370
Calf Raises 3 x 12 x 90

Will add the squats and lunges at the beginning of the routine next week.

Cardio tonight, then grocery store :D

Going to hit the treadmill for 15min then switch over to elliptical for 30. Trying to get back up to a 5k at about 25min.
