I wasn't really sure where to post this, but thought maybe some of you would have an opinion?

The women's fat loss nutrition plan looks good to me (1731 cals, 40% protein). The women's muscle building AND men's muscle building plan is 3057 cals and only 25% protein. The men's fat loss plan is THE SAME as the women's fat loss plan.

Is it just me or are they completely off? Was there a mistake somewhere and they uploaded the wrong plans under the wrong headings???

Who r THEY? :s ?
How r they counting their cals and macros?
What do they take into concideration?
I'm 5'9 female, 1,900kcals give me -2lb a week, im pretty sure there is a man out there who could use my diet and lose the same....

Sounds like an odd way to lose fat either way. and 25% to build muscle? I dont think so..

Sorry - I should have given more info. This is the nutrition plan on the bodybuilding.com website. It's the plan they give for the $100,000 contest that's going on right now.

It specifically says in the articles that calories are estimates and each individual will have individual calorie amounts. That is just an example. Also.. 25% of 3500 cals is ~ 218 grams of protein whereas 40% of 1700 calories is ~ 170g of protein.

^^^This. The actual calories would be different for everyone - I think it would depend more on your weight and bf% more than being a male/female thing. If you try a calorie calculator and put in the same basic stats for a man and woman the suggested calories are actually pretty close.

Thanks guys. I guess what threw me off is the 25% protein for the muscle building plan. I think what they did though is added most of the extra calories in carbs and kept the protein about the same (btwn 170-190 grams). I watched the video and it had me thinking in terms of 40/40/20 but I KNOW I should really rely on the macro calculations instead. I appreciate the feedback. :)

does Femme fatale2 make any one else think about things other than lifting?

percentages will always vary for each individual.
