Ok so i got my surgery done this past monday, all is well and good but my doctor who did the surgery told me recovery time will be 12 weeks. Now when i heard this, i was shocked because other fourm members as well as other doctors have suggested around 6 weeks. He explained to me any strenous activity weeks after gyno surgery could result in a build up of fluids and blood causing a large amount of swelling to the area. But still 12 weeks is a hell of a long time and im only 19 so the recovery process should accelerate. What do u guuys suggest. Play it by ear and see how im at after 6 weeks or go the complete 12 weeks as ordered by the doc? THanks

You should listen to your physician-surgeon. Twelve weeks is likely the upper limit of the recovery period.

^ listen to the surgeon.... its his job to get you your best results possible
why would you want to risk it not healing properly and look worse than waiting a couple more weeks? you would hate yourself if this happened.

exactly what everyone has said, you will be really upset if you push yourself and end up disrupting the healing process. just enjoy your time off, and hit the gym hard when you're recovered.

I usually hear between 3-4 weeks. However doc said 12 weeks I would listen.
Remember your muscle will still be there, its just.... sleeping. But it'll come back with the quickness and you'll look and feel 30X better then before.
I wanna get surgery.. :(

1. Post before pics
2. Listen to your surgeon. For god sakes you spent how much on your surgery, but want to neglect the recovery?
3. What is up with your pic? Your arm looks very disproportionate to your body.

3. Do you want to be out of the gym for 12 weeks by playing it safe, or do you want to shoot for 6, injure yourself, and then be out for anohter 12-18 weeks or more? Be smart.
