Hey guys, so right now I'm just under 6'0'' and around 170-175 lbs. I'm not sure what my body fat % is, but i'm not nearly as defined as I would like...over the past year I have been pretty strict with my weightlifting routine, yet as I have gained some muscle mass and gotten stronger, I have also gained some body fat, which has been noticeable in the face, triceps, chest, etc. This terrifies me, to be honest..so it's time to fix it. I want to get my body fat % very low and that is my number one priority now, even above weightlifting. I would rather lose a bit of mass and be a lot more defined then just continue to get bigger and stronger but gain body fat % as well. Right now my workout routine is:

Mon: Chest/Back, Ab Ripper X
Tues: Shoulders
Wed: Bicep/Tricep, Ab Ripper X
Thurs: Off
Fri: Chest/Back, Ab Ripper X
Sat: Shoulders
Sun: Bicep/Tricep, Ab Ripper X
Mon: Off

etc

I was thinking of starting to do morning runs the days I don't do abs or perhaps doing runs after I lift. I was also considering the new beachbody workout called Insanity which focuses on high intensity interval training which I always hear is the best method in burning body fat fast. What do you guys think would be the best thing for me to do in order to keep up with the lifting and abs but shed body fat to a low %? Should I just make morning/after-workout runs a habit or HIIT? As a side note, I also eat really healthy and stick to a high protein / low carb diet.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

When do you do legs?

If you want to burn fat you need to be doing cardio, and/or eating less.
