Does he already have a regular bicycle?
Thee are attachments that you can put on the back wheel to use it like a stationary bicycle.

Yeah. A Schwinn would probably be the Way To Go . But,Look up some reviews on Marcy's and if you have a bit of cash to spend...you cant go wrong with a Cybex.

I have been on the Schwinn 230 bike before, they really arent that bad in my opinion. I also have the Schwinn 430 Elliptical and it has exceeded my expectations for a low level, tight budget piece of equipment. Cant say how they do in the long run, but Schwinn seems to get the job done for a cheaper amount of money.
