Read about this yesterday. Not feeling it though. Being an actor is not the same as putting in the hard work as a boxer. IMO I think its kind of a smack in the face to all the real boxing athletes who dedicate their lives to the sport

I see what you mean but those movies sure brought a lot of attention to boxing. For all we know half the guys boxing today do it because of Rocky.

^^^^^^^
After all "honorary degrees" and other such awards are handed out all the time in many other fields. I could only imagine someone with Tyson's intellect to somehow feel somehow cheated because Stallone got inducted :).

They have announcers and such in halls of fame so i dont see why Stallone cant get it. He has helped the sport quite a bit.

Thats like saying Frodo Baggins was triumph over diversity :D
They were movies, And he and his movies got the credit. Leave the hall of fame to the sports and athletes who worked hard and deserve to be there.

They're inspirational movies using the sport to get the message across - and they cast boxers in a positive light.
I'm fine with not including it though, as long as no announcers, or any other non-athlete is allowed in..
