Wife just picked up the kids from school and noticed one of their "projects" sent home. Apparently the week of Thanksgiving the kindergarten teachers asked the kids to write what they are thankful for and draw a picture. Wife called me to tell me to check my email, as she just took a picture with her phone and sent it to me.

Some kids are thankful for God or family, but not my eldest daughter...

My 15 year old was quite the character when he was younger. Totally hooked on video games, especially first person shooters.

So one year at Christmas time they had cut out 'gingerbread men' out of brown construction paper and the kids were to decorate them.

Well my son makes his into a half Rambo half Ninja dude, complete with grenades, knives and ammo belts. Hs teacher was more than a little freaked out. His mom had to go have a onversation about it with her.

So she brings this thing home and he's showing me and describing all the different weapons and such that he drew and I said.

"OK, but why are does he have X's for eyes and why is his tongue hanging out?"

"Well Dad, because he's dead of course!" :rolleyes:

I thought it was awesome, so I hung it on the wall in the boy's man room in the basement; you can see it in the background of this pic from 2004:
