Next year I am going to America to compete in The World Jiu-Jitsu Championship (commonly known as Mundials) is the most prestigious Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) tournament in the world. Which I recently qualified for by winning the Pan Pacific Championship.
I have a couple big tournaments between now and then such as the Abu Dhabi pro trails held in February (I competed in the New Zealand trials and got a bronze however you need to get a gold to get an all expenses paid trip to Abu Dhabi) and the Victorian Champs held in March.
I want to keep this to track my progress of both my fitness, weight and training regime.

I currently weight 84.5kgs on an empty stomach in the morning. I need to drop to 73kgs for a day before weight in on February 19th 2011.
I have two things I will be doing to do this. One is I find my body responds well to an alkaline diet and two is follow this for my conditioning
I am going to start back at training properly next week with aerobic fitness and muscular endurance.
My aim is;
500 body weight squats
100 push ups
20 pull ups
50 finger tip push ups
15 one legged squats per leg
15 hand stand push ups
5 minute plank
I am going to perodize my training so I will move into strength, anaerobic fitness and then plyometrics.

last week november 26th I won the under 79kg Gi at the pan pacific championships.
After a nice week off training and eating what I want I am 84.6kgs. I have until Feb 17th to drop down to 75kgs so I can weigh in at 73kgs for the Abu Dhabi trails here in australia.
I will start every morning with a Spinach drink. 150grams baby spinach leaves, 200mls water and 15grams coconut butter. I put all ingredients into a blender and drink the mixture. For lunch I will have some sushimi and something similar for dinner maybe some poached chicken breasts and boiled broccoli with some flaxseed oil.
I have all my fights on video which I will watch and break down this week going over what I need to tidy up on my game. I have two months before the Trails so I have enough time to tidy up a few thigns. My main focus over the next six months is improving my guard game and back taking from guard.

After a great break back home I am flying back to Asutralia on Monday to resume normal life again.
Over the holidays I went up to 86.7kgs and have to drop down to 74kgs by feb 18th.
I have been eating 1/2 a chicken breast and 2 table spoons of peanut butter every 3 hours upon waking and as much spinach as I want which I normally just blend with water and drink.
