View Full Version : Lifting Weight to lose Body Fat ??

Hi,

As everyone says to lift heavy at least 3 times a week along with cardio to burn fat Iam doing the same. My question is since there is some fat stored in my chest how would doing chest exercise help it ? Since Fat does not turn into muscles , When would i expect my chest to start build up ?? Is it after when i lose all the fat from the chest or along while losing the chest fat ??

Fat is nothing like muscle. You can exercise your chest to increase your chest muscles and size, but you cannot spot reduce fat in any one area. Your body uses and stores fat in different areas dictated mainly by genetics. No exercise that you do can reduce fat in any one area more than another.

So what i understood is when all the fat goes away the only my chest and other parts of body would start lookin ripped .. Am i correct here ?
