So we did some conditioning before my Muay Thai class last night, and it gassed me pretty hard. I've also noticed that guys I should be better than I tend to fade against, so I've known this an issue for awhile.

I've been slacking off on my lifting for awhile, so I'm doing this log to help keep me honest with my training and motivate me.

My lifting split is based on Coach Dos' power training, a 4 day a week push-pull split, with oly lifts or variations to start each day. I'm adding complexing (bodyweight after lift before rest) and finishers (extra fatiguing work at the end of my lifting routine).

I'd also like to stay after my MT class for a few minutes of extra conditioning.

Here's my schedule:

Mon: Off (I tutor)
Tues: MT class
Wed: Lift
Thurs: MT class
Fri: Lift
Sat: Lift
Sun: Lift

I'll post some pics and initial stats soon. My goals are really just to increase my cardio, while getting stronger.

Had a pretty good lifting day today. A little weaker which is to be expected with the time off. The complexing was a good push. Did a shadowboxing tabata for 4 mintues as a finisher.

Weighed in at 196. When I was fit in the summer I was around 202.

Crazy weather tonight, tons of snow, got to class about 10 mins late, but just missed warmup.

Had a good session though felt pretty loose and comfortable through sparring, stayed after class and did a pushup pyrmid to six and back down, although I ended up on my knees for a few of them.

Pretty good workout tonight.

Did a pull day, finished off with a situp pyramid and did 3 rounds of shadowboxin with 1lb weights. Really working on keeping my hands up and bringing them back for each punch in the combo

Good workout on sat, went out of town and partied sat night, so no workout sunday.

Today had a good MT class, we practiced setting up superman punches with leg kicks. Superman jabs are really akward, but pretty effective as it's hard to time the defense even if you know it's coming

Not to stoked on my MT class performance this evening. Gassed hard, got caught a few times against someone I should have handled easily during sparing. And did pad work with a pretty young kid so couldn't throw much too hard.

This gassin thing sucks, I guess not being able to to a "gym workout" since last saturday has an effect.

Pretty solid workout, slightly worried that I may have strained the shoulder a bit durin power cleans, but I think it should be fine.

Had a decent workout Saturday, missed the gym Sunday.

Tonight did Muay Thai class back to the basics with boxing. I'm hoping I made a little progress with my footwork, specifically with my hook.
