How much water should you drink daily to help your cut?

Is it at least a gallon or more, or is it proportional to your weight?

Thanks for the help.

This is a Hydration calculator, mine was 155oz. Or 9, 17oz bottles of water. A lot more than I thought I should be taking in... Looks like i'm going to up my water intake. Thanks for the post.

A 70kg male needs about 2.5 liters of water a day (110mL/hr) before factoring in compensation for sweat losses during exercise.

Just drink until your pee is light yellow.

^you don't need that much liquid water per day. That's the total water you need. A lot of the hydration you get is through foods and contributes to the total required water. Just drink until your urine is clear or light yellow like msm00b says and you'll be fine.

Also, the amount of water a body needs is dependent on the amount of calories you ingest. A lower calorie cutting diet will result in lower water requirements, but more water is almost always a good thing. If nothing else, you'll get some incidental exercise by having to get up and go pee all the time :-)

My buddy said it best back in college, and it's always stuck with me:

"You should always be pissin' spring water."

If your piss is clear, you're drinking enough. If it isn't, you aren't. Very simple.
