I know plyo's are awesome for cardio, but I'm wondering what kind of plyo routine do you do for your cardio days and for how long?

Plyo's are abused and miss understood in America. They should never be used for cardio or anything other than for sports specific reasons. Fact being that 95% of the people do not use them correctly and have not used them correctly since we've heard of them.

I would spend sometime time reading about this here:

If you search around his forum you'll find more information, nothing new will be posted by him because he passed away. He is the reason this form of training for athletes was even developed.

If you want to do cardio run, but don't bastardize plyometrics.

Great post. Honestly, if you aren't playing any sports, then you really shouldn't be doing plyometrics. Yeah, it's good cardio, but it's meant to help you run faster, jump higher, etc. It's high impact and really not necessary if all you are doing is looking for a good cardio workout.

Yeah, we use to do plyo's for football. It was great for working on explosiveness and quickness. I still think if you are no longer playing the sport, it would be ok since it is a great workout though
