you can have both with this Taurus Magnum Judge!
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=201261988
This Judge is stainless steel, comes with a 3" barrel, and chambers 3" magnum .410 shotgun shells or .45 Colt cartridges. This Judge is also somewhat rare because it features an nonfluted cylinder. Nonfluted cylinders offer the most steel between chambers and are considered by experts to be the strongest designed cylinders you can have on a revolver.
Many folks get Judges to do everything from hunting small game, shooting clay pigeons, dispatching snakes, and to protect themselves against two legged varmints as well. For quite some time, Taurus had an great video on their website showing what a Judge can do to various water melons just in case one attacked you.......it was truely awesome! There are quite a few companies that are making 5 pellet 00 buckshot and 3 pellet 000 buchshot loads for these magnum Judges and I can't think of a more formidable close range self defense firearm than this.

It feels like a brick in your hands. It would probably be more effective as a thrown projectile

I'm grabbing a Public Defender later on next year.
But first:

I think the .500 is twice as intimidating.

Honestly I would look into 45-70 govt if you want a big bore wheel gun. Its much easier/cheaper to reload for (pretty much a necessity) and there is a huge variety of loads ranging from tame to projectile sledge hammer. Out of a 9" BFR 45-70 was surprisingly tame compared to the .500 I rented for kicks... and that it did.

What, no gold plated Desert Eagle? How about a Taurus Raging Hornet?
8 rounds of bronze needles in the raging hornet. Just saying.

Shot my brother in law's judge. It looks awkward, but it handles nicely. A bit bulky to carry. Nice around the house I guess.

My boss is a gun nut. More than most people in that he put in the effort to create a trust and get a suppressor.
The other day he invites me over to show me his new gun... a judge.
I am confuse.

I don't understand all the obsession over the "new" Judge. The Thunder 5 has been out for years and years and is the same thing. Something I am missing?

Thats a pretty neat concept actually. If I had enough money to buy every different gun I liked I'd probably get one.
It could make a good home defense longgun for the less-inclined/less-trained people who dont want to mess with too much like a safety or pump or whatnot or have too much go wrong with the gun when they need it the most. Just pick it up and shoot. Id definately use a hot 45LC JHP instead of any .410 shell though.

Plenty of AK pistols out there. Perfectly legal, just sold as a pistol. More of a range toy than anything else IMO.
Would make a good truck gun I suppose.
