Could 11 days out of the gym and eating normally, not excessively really undo ALL progress? I almost fell over when I saw 129.. 11 pounds?? I gained almost 4 inches on my waist. My arms are starting to look like mush. Even my legs are getting a little jiggly. I know people retain water from surgery because of anesthesia and all, but could that all be bloat?

I just wanna hear from people who have had similar experiences.. How long did it take you to get back to your normal routines? Friday, I get to start working out again, but only walking/light aerobics and leg exercises. Will that be enough to start losing inches again?

Did you not just have breast augmentation surgery?

Have you ever had an IV in surgery for anethesia before?

When I had my baby, I delivered a nearly 10lb baby and then GAINED 5lbs. Do not look at the scale for several weeks after having IV anesthesia.

Slow down, it's been 2 weeks and you are worried about inches. You are going to hurt yourself, both physically and emotionally.

Also... realistically, how much are them new boobies on the scale even when everything else is leveled? I mean, do you really expect to weight the same now???

You're killing us girl. :D :D :D

So, 11 pounds in 11 days .....

did you, or did you not, eat an *extra* 3500 calories *every day* ? Think about it logically ... do you really think that's fat??

what did they put in your drip? I had surgery at the end of June - fasted all day the of the surgery - had been eating zero sugar prior - they gave me morphine and dextrose after surgery - I blew up by 15lbs over the next 3 days! and it took 10 days to go away......

i know it can't possibly be all fat, but only 2 pounds is boob weight.. the worst part is i see it all in the mirror and the way clothes fit! to be honest i did eat over maintenance a few days.. the thing is that my progress feeds off of good results.. before surgery it was relatively easy to stick to my diet because i liked the way i looked (for the most part) .. but now since i look all puffed up.. it's a lot harder.. when i used to wanna overeat, i used to get naked and look at myself in the mirror hahahaha sounds weird, but it worked!

it's okay though.. tomorrow i'll start fresh. my goal is to get back to looking normal by christmas. i think that's doable :)

i have no idea, but i was extremely bloated the first few days too.. i couldn't even suck my stomach in, so i looked pregnant.. (still do!)

girl. chillllllax. you know that your boobs are not going to look normal by christmas, right? i hope someone told you that, even your surgeon?
it took my boobs MONTHS (almost 3 maybe?) to look normal-ish. until then they looked like cubes under my skin. weird. and yes, you're puffy from the IV/drugs, etc.
you'll look super hot once you HEAL, key word, heal. give your body TIME!

eta- and please please PLEASE do not eat one iota below maintenance, your body needs to heal. this is pretty substantial surgery. please eat. over maintenance.

oh how i can relate. i had surgery in february and have found it really hard to get back on track with my eating. before the surgery i had no problem sticking to my meal plans, but i can stay that it has been a true challenge after the fact.

Take a deep breath and relax . . . . . give it a week before you really know what you weigh. Even after a vacation break your body retains water from eating stuff you would not normally eat.

So if you have just had surgery the sodium present in the iv fluids coupled with the inflamation and swelling that the surgery produced , are going to be your largest weight gain causes.

Its prolly not as bad as you think............. :)

Imma gonnna say it again. Think seriously about some sort of books/counseling RE your body image. Either that or figure a way to get some other perspectives as yours are really not very healthy.

...just saying.... :(

i don't need counseling! haha.. i'm just frustrated at the moment. i know it will pass.. i'm sure i'm not the only one who gets frustrated when i don't see the results i want.

Ugh I can relate!!! I havent had my boobies done but I've had four surgical laps over 8 years and each time it seems to take forever for the swelling and bloating to disappear and it makes it even more frustrating that you need to rest and not resume working out hard! It's just time though - you'll get there :) Be patient!

Really? I suggest you go back and reread all your other threads. You have some serious issues when it comes to body image. You're only 19 and it takes years to get solid results and even longer to maintain them.

You're in for a long, miserable road...because you're prior posts and way of thinking are so far from being healthy...

Yes, it IS all bloat. I told you I bloated up like crazy didn't I? My forearms and ankles didn't even look like my own. Things will start flushing out when you're allowed to start moving again.

At least part of the reason your arms look like mush is loss of muscle volume (in conjunction with the bloat). That will also come back as you're allowed to begin using your upper body as you used to. Considering that your doctor probably told you to lay off upper body training to not look right for at least that long. It took me a month or two after I was allowed to lift again to feel like I was starting to look normal.

Bloat for sure. Anesthesia will do that to you!
