Hello!

My name is Alexis and I am new to this forum. My husband passed me this link a few months ago, but I never bothered to post. Then last night I had the most FABULOUS night in the gym EVER and I wanted to share that with people who would understand, so I came here. :)

I've been working with freeweights on and off for a little over a year now. My husband, a long-time practioner of several martial arts, decided to make some changes in his body a few years ago and began studying up on nutrition and fitness and really got into bodybuilding. Between all the adjustments I was making to our meals and listening to him talk about what he was learning, it was only natural that I join him in this endeavor. I haven't been quite as gung-ho about it as he has, which means I haven't seen anything like the same progress, but I think after last night, I can stay in the game.

I have to, because most of my clothes don't fit and I don't feel like buying new ones. :D

I'm so glad Greg brought me over to the iron. I already knew I enjoyed working with weights WAY more than I liked aerobics and other cardio, but that's where women are always directed. I hated going ot aerobics, where my flat feet made me litereally cry with pain after a few minutes, and where I had muder fantasies about the instructor while working out. Not a positive environment! :D So now I happily sweat where I can make progress and muscle the dumb guys outta my way. Numbnuts are always trying to do curls in squat cage! :D hee hee!

Thanks for providing this place! I hope to get to know you better.

Alexis

Alexis...welcome to the board! Glad that you are really getting into bodybuilding. It can be addicting...and fun.
But I must warn you. You better get in the mood to buy new clothes.....smaller sizes of course. :)
