I am looking into possibly modeling. I would like to do some kind of fitness modeling because I absolutely love my body and love working out.
I am asking for critiques on my body compared to what a fitness model should look like.
I am 16 (since March), weight @150, and am 6'0.
Thanks for any input!

Wow, I think you look really good for 16! Do you have a full body pic? It would help to critique your entire physique rather than just upper body.
I think you have a really good start especially for your age. You have a good bit of muscle; you may want to build your chest up a little bit more and add a little more muscle overall, but don't add too much as male fitness models aren't overly muscular like bodybuilders.
You have nice facial features and hair; I can't see your teeth so cannot comment on that, but if they aren't straight and white that would also be something to work on.
Here are my suggestions as to a few steps you can take now, aside from your physique. First, you need to put together a portolio. Research potential photographers very carefully and choose a FITNESS photographer that knows how to pose fitness models. There are many on the 'net that you can find and contact.
Before your shoot you need to get a good base tan and lots of models use a competition color for photo shoots as well, such as Jan Tana's products. If you choose to use a competition color, you must shave and exfoliate your entire body first to get even coverage of the product.
Get your hair done professionally at a salon, not at any old barber shop. He/she will give you an updated do, conditioning treatment and/or highlights. You may also want to get your eyebrows shaped as well.
Talk to the photographer and see what kind of shoot you will be doing (i.e. beach setting, indoors, formal, informal) and bring appropriate clothing or find out if the photographer will provide clothing. Also ask if there will be a hairstylist and make-up artist provided or if you will be responsible for this.
Once you get your portfolio together, you can begin contacting magazines and so on to get started. A website is a great idea for marketing, although it can be expensive.
These are just a few tips, I am also trying to get into fitness modeling and these are some things I've come across when researching. I hope they help you out and best of luck to you.

hey guy!
i dont want to discourage you because you are looking great, no doubt but if you look up any info on fitness modelling , usually even magazines like men's health never hire models that weigh less than 195 for 5ft10. i think you need to add a few more pounds before thinking about it seriously .

The thing about Mens health being no less than 190 is BS, they did a survey about 2 month issue back, about the average mens health model was 183, said most of them where from 6'0-6'2 and weighted between 170-190 most around the 180-185 range.

Not being Gay our anything bro, But you do have the facial features to become a fitness model i did also notice you have those good genetics of being veinie which you will almost always see when it comes to fitness guys, I think as of now you could mite get into alittle modeling some clothes our wife beaters, things like Kmart , Walmart ect ect, clothes, nothing big, But i think what i would worry about now is putting on size dont worry to much about fat and bulk from about 150 to about 190 and then cut down to a lean 6-pack 185, and you would be a 'PERFECT' example of a fitness model so you got the looks already and a good foundation to build a fitness model bod, So your halfway there now time to EAT EAT EAT and workout!

Bigswole,
Thanks! I really do appreciate the comment about facial features... you are being totally truthful and making a complete critique! Yeah, I am trying to gain weight right now. The problem is eating. I work out like crazy, but I can't eat too much because I can't afford to eat all that much all the time. I can, but not quality chicken or beef. I do eat quite a bit of tuna and lunch meats, though.
It might take a little longer than most, but i'm working for about 180-190.
Thanks so much to all and keep the comments coming!
God Bless,
-Evan

I don't know much about criteria for male fitness models, but I know that for females there are no height/weight requirements. Certain publications like certain looks and most like to showcase a variety of shapes and sizes of models. Some mags prefer more ripped, muscular models, while more mainstream mags prefer less muscular and hard models. Depending on what venue you wish to pursue, concentrate on establishing your unique look and work towards modeling in publications/companies accordingly.

I've always ate cheap bro, You gotta remember i started at 135lbs ,You just gotta learn how to eat cheap, I buy those 'elbow' noodles get a 2lb bag of them for about 2 bucks and a 'half cup' has 42grams of carbs, and its your good carbs to as they dont have any sugar, When you really wanna build a fitness body our bodybuild you learn to not eat for pleasure of the taste but to survive, but not only that but to grow, look at it this way if you just ate a cup of those elbow noodles a day that would be close to 100grams of carbs right there....... Protein, Like you said Tuna is cheap and got plenty of good protein 6oz cans have about 30 grams, eat two of those a day and you got already 60 grams, ......... There are so many things out there that have carbs and protein that are cheap just go in the store and look around...you'll be surprised on how cheap you can eat bodybuilding foods. Another thing i would eat alot of was, Hamburger meat i would pat me out some patties and have 'hamburger steak' on the grill, I calculated it and each one of mine had close to 40grams.....I used to eat two of those a day also..... and hamburger meat is cheap.......its not chicken brest but its protein! lol,,,,,
