Here is my MMA training schedule . And am unsure what weigh program to do while doing all this. Have been doing this schedule for four weeks so got rid of beginning soreness and looking to incorporate weights now.

MON - 6-7 Grappling 7-8 Kickboxing

teus- off

wed- 6-7 grappling 7-8 kickboxing

thurs- 6-7 kickboxing 7-8 grappling

fri / sat / sun off

I am free to workout with weights in the AM like around 7-10 everyday except SunDay.was wondering what routine would be best for this schedule or what thread can u guys forward me too since im sure this has already been asked lol .. Also have been lifting wieghts for many years so not a beginner to the scene

thx fellas

if your goal is to improve your stregnth for MMA. Id strongly advise you use help from a specialised stregnth and conditioning coach. Alot of the lads from my club have had massive success with the help of one. It mostly incorporates circuits with kettlebells and sandbags and stuff. I on the other hand just did a powerlifting rutine like starting stregnth on a couple of days i wasnt training MMA.

I never acheived the type of conditioning my friends did tho. So id say, do barbell or kettlebell complexes and tabata sprints on like the tuesday and saturday.

I would incorporate lifts such as Squats, Deadlifts, Power Cleans, etc.

Lifts that will improve your strength and explosion.

this link is pretty good and critiques most of the workout schemes and list their pros and cons along with their value in mma. would consider superset or the peripheral heart system.

sorry about the format, not a high enough post count to put links up. just add http :// and remove the spaces when you type it in
