I've read good things about Ebol, so I decided to test it out. Took first dose 1ish after I woke up.

I'm also using:

Generic Multi
Generic Fish Oil
Syntha-6 Whey
Green Mag
White Flood (20 serving sample)

Current weight: 143 lbs

I'm starting this routine tonight, migrating from a bodybuilding routine.

Routine: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/wotw9.htm (Big Mike's Westside Template)

Sunday: Speed for bench
Monday: Max squat and deadlift
Wednesday: Max bench
Friday: Speed for squat

This is my first log, so if I'm supposed to include anything else, just tell me.

Took ebol:

1 PM after lunch
7 PM after workout with Peanut butter (forgot to with Dinner)
8:30 PM with whey and Green Mag

50% bench - 3x10 80lbs
Standing Military Press - 3x5 95lbs (thinking of doing sitting since I tend to use my legs too much)
Bent over row 3x8 95lbs
Skull Crushers 3x12 45lbs
Abs

Easy day, didn't really feel or see any difference. Didn't expect to since it's day 1.

What to expect from Ebol, and when:

FIRST 3 DAYS

- Deeper sleep
- Noticeable increase in VO2 max
- Thirst

WITHIN 2 WEEKS

- Noticeable decrease in DOMS
- Improved intra-set recovery
- Improved inter-workout recovery
- Ability to move more total tonnage per unit of time

WEEK 3 and BEYOND

- Profound decrease in DOMS
- Big improvement in intra-set recovery, by as much as 30 sec with the ability to move the
same weights/reps.
- Ability to squeeze at least one extra workout in per week due to improved recovery
- Visible increase in LBM*
- Visible leaning effect*

* The latter two here are obviously dependent upon diet, etc.

You will also notice other curious effects. For example, your nails will grow much faster and you'll have to clip them more frequently. Tell me if I'm right on that one.

Your real challenge is to leverage all that Ebol brings to the table within the context of a sound over-reaching/loading and de-loading program. WS is a fine template for such so no worries there. I'd love to see you run this with The Blueprint, as it's designed with strategic loadin/de-loads. A high level overview of The Blueprint Periodic is attached we use for just such purposes.

Best of luck with Ebol!

Around 2nd period (10ish) I started feeling angry for no reason. Not really sure why though, probably irrelevant to the ebol, but just a side note.

I've also been a little more hungry. Haven't noticed any thirst changes though.

School day Ebol times:
7AM - 1st dose
4PM - 2nd dose
7PM - 3rd dose

Weight: 143

Squat max day/biceps/abs, doing DL speed Friday. This really seems like a weird routine to get squat and DL up...

Workout today felt great, I wanted to keep going, but I didn't want to overtrain.

Squat: Wasn't sure what it meant 'work your way to 1RM, so I did this to get to the 1RM
50% - 10x135
65% - 8x165
75% - 5x195
85% - 3x215
95% - 1x255
100% - 1x265 (feels bad man)

DB Leg Curls 3x5 (no machine)
1 arm DB Row 3x5
Barbell Curl 3x5 (60lbs + curl bar weight...?)
No hyperextensions, need replacement exercise.

Moved from 35lbs to 40lbs with crunches.

Last night I started noticing an increase of thirst. Still in the alpha/angry mood.

Didn't go to school and had more opportunities to eat. Got about 10 hours of sleep or so and I slept really well. Arms still sore from Sunday/Monday, not too bad though.

Still noticing extra aggression and acne is starting to get worse. I feel like I'm taking a PH or something lol. I also slept like 9 hours (1-2 more than normal) and getting out of bed was harder than EVER.

Max Bench Day:

65% - 8x95

85% - 3x135
95% - 1x155 (I got this one up easy, my max 3 weeks ago)
100% - 1x170

170lbs? 1 year ago I was 15, 7 pounds lighter, and just started lifting... barely able to get up 115lbs up in a 1RM. Now, 170 may not seem like much of an accomplishment to you, but looking back it's a great moment for me.

Got about 11 hours of sleep... too much. More sleep = extremely fast metabolism for me so I had to eat a TON. Same effects as yesterday.

Weight: 145 (+2)

I've been feeling really sore lately, especially since this has me doing arms 4 times a week, so I'm thinking of adding a cheap bcaa/glutamine mix. Good idea?

No significant changes in my body other than that my biceps/triceps are becoming harder. Feels more like pure muscle than water weight.

Workout:

Standing Military Press - 3x5 100lbs (+5) (got this up easier than I did the 95 last week)

You can train arms 4 times a week, but you have to vary the intensity. I would train higher weight and lower reps on your speed day and then lower weight and higher reps on your max effort day just to get blood moving.

Fantastic work man. Really enjoying this and love to see new PR's being racked up. I've posted this prior but wanted to offer it again in the hopes it assists you and others insofar as optimal Ebol dosing on training days...

This is just my opinion, but I believe pre/post workout dosing is the optimal protocol for many reasons. One of the big ones is Ebol's ability to initiate a rapid state of cyclic GMP (cGMP), which is beneficial to your muscle building efforts.

Ebol/Ecdysterone is a known amplifier of cGMP and it decreases cAMP shortly after administration.

"A rapid increase of cGMP and a decrease of cAMP levels in mouse plasma, together with a decrease of PKA activity in liver were described 40 min after an intraperitoneal injection of 10 μg 20E (Catalán et al., 1979a&b, 1982)." 20E as referenced is 20-hydroxyecdysterone, found in Ebol.

This clue was buried deep in LaFont's excellent paper, Practical uses for ecdysteroids in mammals including humans: an update R. Lafont1,3 and L. Dinan2,4. See page 16 of 30, under sub-heading: Rapid membrane effects:

http://www.insectscience.org/3.7/Laf...S_3_7_2003.pdf

Accordingly, your dosing of ecdysterone is positioned pre-workout (and post) where it would make the most sense to ingest. I'm going to put a finer point on that now and recommend that you ingest Ebol 60 -90 minutes prior to your workouts due to the cGMP info cited here.

Although 40 min is the timeframe given for "a rapid increase of cGMP and a decrease of cAMP", it must be noted that this was via injection. Oral ingestion will understandably, result in a greater lag time.

You can see now why I recommend Ebol be used during select phases and in combination with other variables to maximize its impact. In fact, I recommend this to all of my Blueprint people using Ebol.

They've all done exceptionally well with dosing it in said fashion. Hopefully, it will assist you too..

Thanks for the tip Mixel, I'm starting to do that now. I'm wondering, you posted the things that are supposed to happen with the 1st 3 weeks, but what are the effects for the 2nd bottle? Just extended effects of weeks 1-3?

Mixelflick
11-06-2010, 01:26 AM
You will start to see the benefits of weeks 1-3 appear quickly in the mirror, certainly in the gym. More importantly, there are other beneficial things manifesting that you won't see.... unless you run bloodwork. Allow me to elaborate...

It appears Ecdysterone is a more potent cholesterol lowering (hypocholesterolemic) agent than previously thought. Experiments in rats with deliberately induced hyper-cholesterol yielded exceptional results when Ecdy was administered. The key seems to be this.... the cholesterol lowering effect corresponds with the number of hydroxyl groups present in the molecules. In this regard, the most active Ecdysterone was found to be integristerone A and B, present in our old friend Rhaponticum:

Integristerone A
Integristerone B

(see attachments)

These monsters have a molecular weight of 496 and 512, respectively. As you can see, plenty of hydroxyl groups which seem to be the key to its cholesterol lowering effects.

Let's look at another Ecdy though, something more uniquitous in the market, 20-H (bottom attachment). It gives us some perspective as to just how profound this impact on cholesterol lowering is...

After daily administration of 20- hydroxyecdysone at a dose of 2.5 mg/kg to the animals with high cholesterol for 3, 6 and 8 weeks, the cholesterol level was decreased by 7.0%, 16.9% and 29%, respectively.

Hampshire, F.; Horn, D.H.S. Chem. Commun., 37-38.

That's a HUGE improvement and it only appears to accelerate as time goes by, not diminish. Look at the jump from weeks 6 to 8. It's almost as big as weeks 3 to 6 over a third shorter duration!

So what's going on?

The data obtained suggest a competition between cholesterol and Ecdy when being incorporated into the cell membrane. It seems that for some reason, the body prefers to use Ecdy vs. cholesterol given the choice.

PRACTICAL FINDING: If you have high cholesterol, Ecdy may very well benefit you.

I challenge anyone to find another nutraceutical with that many possibilities (especially when looked at in combination). Bear in mind they've been studying the various genus/plant species in detail since 1961. Short of long chain proteins and amino acid sequencing, you're not going to find it.

Max for Bench Day:

Weight: 145 (+2)

Got my ebol, white flood, and bb.com license plate cover thing (free gift haha)

Workout:

Bench Press:

50% - 10x95
65% - 8x115
75% - 5x135
85% - 3x155
95% - 1x175
100% - 1x185 (+5)

Skull crushers: 3x10
Shrugs: 2x10

Had to modify a bit, I went to a gym with my friend and it was pretty sketch so they didn't really have much room or anything... not happening again.

Felt a huge pump today, dunno if it was the new white flood or what. My arms were hurting worse than normal right after the workout, but they're perfectly fine now.

Rest Day

Weight: 145 (+2)

On my last full day of the first bottle. I forgot to post a summary of the 1st bottle on BB.com so here it is:

Increased muscle firmness, increased thirst (not bad), moving up in weight faster/easier, and bacne.
Squat went from 265 to 290 (+25)
Bench went from 165 to 185 (+20)
Deadlift is going to be switched to tomorrow instead of squats.

EDIT:

Sort of off topic but still related to my workout, does anyone have any idea how I could even out both sides? I know it's genetics, but there has to be some way to beat them.

Weight: 145 (+2) Somehow I managed to maintain my weight after last night's "activities"... first time that's happened. Pretty proud of that.

Workout:

Tricep Extensions - 3x10
Bent Over Rows - 3x10 105lbs
Standing Military Press 3x5 105lbs (+5)

Abs 55lbs (+5)

Overall the workout wasn't that great... soreness before/during, after isn't that bad though. Could partially be because of the inconsistent sleep last night.

You've only gained 2 lbs after 31 days? I stacked ebol with bioforge promax and only managed to gain 4 lbs but at least I cut a couple BF%.

I'm not convinced that ebol improved my recovery times or strength.... maybe it did, maybe it didnt.

I have yet to see an ebol log where there are really solid gains. Your diet is 95% of it, so if you're bulking up I hope you're eating a ton of calories. During my run I was eating 3200-3500 calories a day so now i'm up to 4000 a day and hopefully I can hit 180lb in a couple weeks. If not, I'm screwed because 4k a day is hurting my wallet enough

I would've stacked it with Bioforge, but due to my age I don't think it would've been the best idea.

I kind of gave up on the bulking aspect after week 2. I'm still eating more and increased the protein intake, but I'm not super worried about bulking.

Max for Deadlift Day:

Weight: 145 (+2)

I decided to lift today because my body was basically begging me throughout the day. Still a little sick, but nothing too bad.

Workout:

Deadlift:

50% - 10x135lbs
65% - 8x175lbs
75% - 5x200lbs
85% - 3x230lbs
95% - 1x255lbs
100% - 1x270lbs

I estimated the max pretty well... just barely got 270lbs.

Leg Curls: 2x10
DB Curls: 3x5

Took it easy today other than DL's, I started feeling sick to my stomach mid workout so I decided to end with DB curls.

Is it weird that my squat is more than my deadlift? I see a lot of people's stats where their DL's are way ahead of squats.

I just realized that this is the sickness that I had early week 2 (I think that's when it was). It's weird because normally I don't get sick this often.

Bench Press:

50% - 10x100

75% - 5x140
85% - 3x160
95% - 1x180

Anyone know how effective tribulus would be for a teenager? I've read many mixed reviews of it.Not very to be honest. I wouldn't recommend test boosters to a teen, as you really won't get much out of it compared to someone a little older because of the difference in test levels. Given that your test levels are probably the highest they're going to be in your life (I say probably, as it's not always that way for everyone), your money would probably be better spent elsewhere. Especially if you were looking at just plain Tribulus.

E-bol is non-hormonal so I don't see how it will help to break your plateau.

As with anything, if it's not broke don't fix it. If WS4SB is doing you right, keep doing it until the gains stop coming. :)

My thoughts exactly!

Overall I'd give ebol a 9/10.

I moved up in my maxes much faster while on it than I was without it. It took a few days to realize any differences or side effects. The first effect I noticed was sort of an alphamale feeling... then increased acne. Which is kind of odd since it's nonhormonal. Neither was that extreme though. But I noticed a vast increase in muscle firmness, moving up faster, and an increased feeling of wanting to workout. I think mixel was right about the fingernails growing faster too...

If anyone has any questions feel free to post here or message me.

Hopefully I'll be logging another Thermolife product in the future.

What am I gonna do now? A week of rest then... The Blueprint!

A 70 pound increase in your total in 2 months is awesome. Glad to hear you enjoyed the E-bol and it helped you as much as it did. I think the Blueprint will help you take it to the next level strength-wise. Keep up the hard work! :D

Glad you had a great experience with Ebol. No surprise really... and yes, the nails do grow faster :)

Here's what you're likely in for; DaCookie just had a Blueprint run that added 105lbs to his total in a roughly the same timeframe. May have even been a bit less.. His FIRST run with The Blueprint + Ebol = +16lbs of mostly LBM. So you're in for the grand plan.

Can't wait for your Blueprint run. Right here, there and everywhere to support you and ensure gains like this keep snowballing!

Is the general consensus that this product is great for an 18 year old? Especially one looking to bulk up to do powerlifting at the Naval Academy?
