These are words of Wisdom I have heard through out my life from my "Funny" elders..
1. Everybody you works in the "White House" don't live there...(meaning: it takes many to make this country run...not just one family) "Grandmother"
2. Just because my "porch" is clean, doesn' t mean I'm a "Good" cook...( meaning: Individuals have different task to make a household run smoothly) "My Dad"
3. Just because I don't wear a dress, doesn't mean I'm not listen...(meaning: I may be a man...but I can follow a conversation or give you the respect of listening to yours) "Grandfather"
4. Don't stop playing the game, just because the "Rules" change...(meaning : Adapt and overcome what obstacle may come your way) "My Mom"
5. If I catch the S.O.B. who stole my piece of cake, it's going to be HELL to pay...(meaning: Self explanatory...LOL) "My Grandfather"

From my greatgrandmother, "Sh-- in one hand and wish in the other & see what fills up faster", it is a LOT funnier hearing it from a 90+ church going lady who NEVER swore,,, and it was QUITE shocking!
"If a job is worth doing, it is worth doing well"- my daddy
"Because I said so" - my momma
not as full of wisdom as your family, but thought they were different - in their own way.
Some of my favorites, This too shall pass!!!!
Just do it.
oh what the hell, why not?(Boy, has this one gotten me in trouble!)
I am sure i will come across some funny ones as i think about it, you got any more? Wanna hear them.

Well, this is certainly distorted. No logic to it.
