I'm just curious, how many cups of coffee do you guys drink a day (caffeinated). How much would be too much? or is there such a thing? :p

I drink one 16oz cup in the morning or a couple of cups of tea throughout the day. If I drink too much coffee I tend to feel dehydrated since it interferes with my consumption of no less than 1 gallon of water a day. Not to mention too much coffee early on makes me crash later in the day since I lift in the evenings.

Personnaly, I drink 4 cups at breakfast and nearly none during the test of the day. However, I drink diet soda (cafeinated) at lunch and supper.

And this amount would be okay then? I drink 2 right now but wouldn't mind adding another cup... but I've always been a little leery.
i drink from 1 to 5 cups per day, but usually i try to limit to 2-3 cups

If you're worried about your keto, the problem isn't coffee, it's what you put in it : coffee itself has less than a gram of carbs per 100ml. If you add milk/cream/sugar/splenda, then it changes everything. Personnaly, I put it full fat cream (1tbs for the whole 4 cups).
2 cups in the morning (strong w/milk) for me...
how much is too much?
if you have stomach troubles, cant sleep or are 'jittery' i would say that is too much!
also, i think if you drink too much coffee you develop a tolerance and end up needing more to achieve the desired effect...

About four cups over the course of the morning, lots of tea after that. And water, but hey, this is Ireland, it's cold and damp and I want my liquid warm.

Three to four cups per day with a gallon of water. I put in heavy cream.

I take in about 400 mg of caffeine per day (diet coke, coffee, green tea, etc.)

no **** right, awhile ago my roommate was critiquing my diet and said "if you stopped coffee you'd do even better from all the calories in several a day (starbucks/caribou/my own) thats over 1000 calories probably!"
so im just like, dude... I drink straight espresso, theres no calories in this stuff... the stuff YOU guys order (mocha frappucino peppermint garbage) has the calories
anyway I guess he had been lookin at the calories for all starbucks drinks and thought mine had that in it too
nope!

Wow, kudos bro. Anyone who can handle espresso is a man's man (or a lady's lady...?) Anyway, despite averaging 400g of caffeine a day, I can't handle my espresso. Not a good scene :)

I only drink coffee if I'm at home and my mom made some good stuff already... If not, I stick with tea all throughout the day. I've found some amazing sweet & spicy stuff that has 3 calories per bag (sweetener?) that is absolutely delicious and satisifies the sweet tooth.
When I do have coffee though I put in about a tbsp of full fat cream. If it's a carb-up day I'll use half & half and treat myself to some sugar =). All in all though, on Keto getting 8 hours of sleep per day I don't need any caffeine whatsoever and I'm good for the day.
