View Full Version : Yohimbine and tyrosine

I'm thinking about trying how Yohimbine HCL and tyrosine. For Yohimbine, I plan on taking it (5mg) 20 min before my workout. The recommended dosage is 0.2mg/kg of body weight. I'm not sure of tyrosine though. I believe I've read that you're not supposed to take them together, but I think I also read Lyle McDonald does. Is 2g of tyrosine good? If anybody has any tips or recommendations, I'd appreciate it.

I've tried EC stack in the past, but the amount of caffeine really affects me. I have problem sleeping even when the last time I take it is at 4pm.

yohimbine will keep you up even worse than caffeine, will also cause increased anxiety (for this reason I stay away from it)
some of the best workouts I've had though are with it preworkout though i just can't handle the come down from it.

standard tyrosine doses are 500mg, not sure the threshold on this though

Thanks for the heads up toneranger. If yohimbine is that bad, I can't imagine how it would feel running an ECY stack. Maybe I can just do one dose in the morning. I was planning on changing my workout to morning fasted anway.

I made it about 5 days taking yohimbine and I literally was sleeping 3 hours a night and felt like I was on crack or something. I have a pretty high caffiene tolerance and have never experienced something like the yohimbine. I went off it for a week and then back on at half the dose and still had issues. Some people swear by it though! It's probably like anything..some people will react to it, others won't.

I only take yohimbine when I have my workout before 6:00 PM. The only side effect, aside from the desired ones, I notice is my arms and legs tingle if I take too long to start working out. If I take it too late, I'll end up staying up for a while.

Interesting i took yohimbine years ago when it first came out and I was prone to higher anxiety levels but it didnt do anything to me but it did help me increase my lifts fast. I think i was in late teens early 20's when i took it. The supplement of it that i took was made by a company called dash I doubt theyre in business anymore. It was liquid form.

Thanks for all the info. Based on the reponse I've read here. I think I'll start really low on just the yohimbine. 2.5mg.

IMO it's worth it, just be a trooper, do HIIT two, three times a week and I promise you will see results within' the first week.

Just so you know you're also suppose to up how much ephedrine you take every cycle (1 week) just so your body doesn't get used to the amount.

I have noticed some increased anxiety but the results are worth it.

I am runnign Yohimbine hcl right now with bronkaid and 200mg caffeine tabs yes this is the best rush of energy you will ever find.It is very powerful and when you come off it you crash hard. I am very very tolerant to stims so I take 7.5mg-10mg Yohimbine hcl with 12.5mg bronkaid and 300mg caffeine pre workout...in mornings it will keep me going allll day. I have taken the stack later at night (7pm) thought I would not sleep at all as I already have sleeping problems as it is but I worked myslef so hard during the session from all the energy that I came home and ate and passed outon the floor I was so tired..but imo take mornings or if you can sleep like I can 4-5pm is fine..THE **** REALLY RIPS YOU UP THOUGH!.

yeah. yohimbine is like crack but shreds the deep fat cells where cream cheese, butter, and maple syrup like to live.
