This is my first post here in the supplements section, and I am looking to make my first purchase from Bodybuilding.com:
PrimaForce Pure ALA
300mg/180 Capsules
$25.49
NOW Flax Oil
1000mg/250 Softgels
$10.99
Optimum Glutamine Powder
1000 Grams
$37.99
Dymatize Elite Whey Protein Isolate
5 Lbs. Chocolate Fudge
$34.98
Sub-total: $109.45
Discount: -$10.95
Shipping: $24.05 (Canada...)
Total: $122.55
So my question is: does this look like a good stack? And is it worth buying from Bodybuilding.com at that price? The whey should last about a month, the flax and ALA should last about 3 months, and the glutamine should last about 6 months.

40 dollars of glutamine???? LOL...thats 40 bucks down the toilet. Flax oil is meh id rather have fish oil..the best part of that is the isolate. All in all that is a terrible deal.

Need more elaboration. I prefer cod liver oil, etc. as well - but I figured the amount of fish in my diet would suffice. Therefore I can get a broader range, olive oil, flax seed oil, and oily fish.
As for the glutamine: why a waste? It is about six months worth of dosing? Glutamine prior to cardio prevents catabolism.
You never touched on the ALA, opinions there?
In regards to the whey, it is a decent price. But with the cost of shipping is almost not worth while if it is the only thing I'd be buying. I could find better whey-only deals locally.

Six solid months of clean bulking. Looking to gain as much lean weight as possible.
Came down from 240 lbs. since about June. If I can get back to the range 240 lbs. - 250 lbs. I'd be satisfied (by April, to provide pre-summer cutting).

I have to agree with this man... Protein is good and a pretty good price. Im not that big a fan of glutamine espec for 40 bucks. You could prob drop the glutamine and buy a protein powder that has glutamine and bcca's in it for a little more $ if it doesnt already have it in it. Try some creatine. CEE is my fav and doesnt cause any bloat. Besides that get a multi.
Damn 24 bucks for shipping that is crazy even to canada.
as far as ALA never tried it but just bought some for way cheaper ever heard of swanson vitamins hint hint... have tried CLA and loved it for lean muscle gains and burning a little fat

I have a feeling there will be a strong lack of consistency regarding this matter.

If you're quoting the bb.com store page which is trying to get you to buy products you've already lost the argument.
Here ya go, two different things to read about glut:

Cliffs: If you're doing ultra intense long duration training or if you're unhealthy/dying/etc then glutamine might just benefit you... otherwise waste of money :)
I think the ALA is not worth your money if you're on a budget unless you have a specific use / reason for it and know exactly how it will help you achieve your goals.
The protein sucks, it's Ion Exchange Isolate... if you're buying an isolate look for CFM.
Flax oil isn't worth it imo, the seeds themselves would be better imo (milled if you won't be blending them).
Sorry, I know I just shut down your entire order... but i wouldn't buy a single thing you have listed there :)
