Audacity is a good, free music editing program for all OS's (Windows, Mac, Linux).

(I would post the link, but I don't have enough posts to be able to do so.)

You've probably already gotten it by now, but here's the link for anyone else that may need it:

Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)

I use a free program called Dexter and its worked well for me. I was able to mix and blend songs, slow parts down and speed others up, fade in and out, etc. Did everything I needed.

you could also probably use a free trial of Ableton Live which makes the whole process extremely easy

I got Mixpad Auto Mixer. Free and it comes with a couple of extras. If you have the time to use it properly you can make some really great projects.
