It's time to become fully accountable and make it back to stage, better than ever!
History:
I have competed since July 2007 in figure and fitness model.
I took a brief break to have my 6th (surprise) little one to whom I gave birth 7 weeks early to (by God's grace) a healthy baby girl in March 2010. My eldest is 20 and my youngest was 13. The pregnancy took a huge toll on me and I was on bedrest til the end.
She is now 6 months and it's time to plan to get back on stage hopefully by Spring. I'm looking for a Natty comp at that time, OCB perhaps?
I have been blessed to have always competed wonderfully run shows with wonderful people. Even if I "thought" I knew, I always made a point to speak to the judges. My feedback is almost always size, mostly in bringing my legs up. That being said I have noticed the gals since my break coming in bigger and harder in the shows, and they look fantastic! Soooo, that's my goal. My thoughts are super simple. Eat properly, train smarter and just put in the time. The rest will fall into place month by month, year by year.
Best thing I have found is to just dive in and I'll answer questions along the way. :)
FYI - I train at home and have a preference for free weights.
Tuesday was:
SL Deadlifts 6 sets of 15
DB Pullovers 5 sets of 10
T-Bar Rows 5 sets of 6
BO Rows 5 sets of 6
OA DB Rows 5 sets of 6 each
BB Curls 6 sets of 6
Seated DB Curls 6 sets of 6
DB Concentration Curls 6 sets of 6
5 sets crunches each to failure
Abs are still a weak muscle for me since the lil one, so not ready to add weight as I am actually in quite enough pain doing the standard crunches still. Everything else was spot on! The DB Pullovers felt so freaking good, seemed to actually help stretch my back out which I needed for days.
Wednesday Was:
30 min on tread, steady pace
I'll post more when the lil one takes her next nap & get my macros for the day journaled :)

Now after baby, my scale weight has barely fluxuated but my clothing size went down from an 8 at the begining of summer to a 6. I need to lose a bit more BF to be closer for my final drop later.
I'm looking for a new suit this year as well. The fushia looked great in the box, hated it on stage. My black suit I still like ok, but does nothing for me, my blue one piece I love .... but it has not seen use since the first show as everyone seems to be two-piece now.
OK, back to studying for my final tomorrow! My procrastination break is over :D

OK, Sunday training was fabulous! The lunges darn near killed me, my legs were so shot by that point. I have a feeling tomorrow's post leg day will be quite interesting. All in all I am loving the new schedule thus far, but then again it's only been a week

Nothing like 5 sets of lunges to finish off a leg workout! :)

Amen!
My legs are still sore today! Stairs are much fun as my quads are screaming. :D
Sooooo, I passed! I didn't score the highest on this one, I knew the broker would kick my butt on it, lol But I did pass. Eight of us out of the twenty something that started made it through :) Now on to the state exam. They are predicting 40% of persons taking the state do not make it the first round. That being said, I would be so disappointed if I didn't. But in the whole scheme of life, it means not too much. Just stay tenatious and keep at it, right?
Training:
Did my 30 min of cardio yesterday. I am seriously lacking in the sleep dept and have been since lil one was born. She will sleep from 10p-7a most nights now. MY issue is I'm a night owl and like down time. I NEED to get my butt in bed and get up at 6-7a each and every morning. Something I noticed, the persons who are successful are more likely than not (some exceptions as always) to rise early. Studying the people in the class, the early rising, non partying, family oriented persons were most happy (and successful). I want to be one of those persons :)

Soreness did not last past that day, so must be recovering just fine.
However, I'm such a dork! I can't stay off the scale, which is a big mistake. I'm up 8lbs WTF!!!! Obviously has to be water weight or something. But now I'm "off" kilter. Clothing fits the same. However have been in a way trying to get medical care. Can't get into a General Practitioner without "proper insurance" and the patch em up areas which will see me won't fill my synthroid (been hypo thyroid since I was 22). Out of it and counting over 2 weeks. I didn't have an issue paying ou of pocket when I lived in Maryland. I'll try calling further out of today I suppose, or I'll just make due without.
Anywhoo .... Back later with updates on training! :D

First, you know better about the scale! Try to put it out of your head, especially if your clothes are fitting the same.
The thyroid meds-- I have a friend who has to be on thyroid meds since she had hers removed due to cancer, when hers is off at all, it throws her mood, metabolism, energy, everything way out of whack. You'll feel much better getting that taken care of.
Have a great weekend! :)

Jumping right in from yesterday:
BB Bench Press 5 sets @ 6 reps
Bench Flyes 5 sets @ 6 reps
Incline BB Bench 6 sets @ 6 reps
Seated DB Press 6 sets @ 6 reps
DB Lateral Raises 6 sets @ 6 reps
DB Rear Delt Lateral Raises 5 sets @ 6 reps
Close Grip BB Bench Press 6 sets @ 6 reps
Skull BB Crushers 6 sets @ 6 reps
One Arm DB Tricep Extentions 6 sets @ 6 reps
Dips BW 5 sets to failure
Everything is coming easier (although not TOO easy, lol). Great session although suprisingly not sore today.
Today: getting in a 30 min tread session
Not being on synthroid has kept me in a fog, like if you have ever had a really bad cold and had to take cold meds during the daytime .... it always seems like you are in a fog the whole day. Going on week 3, hoping it should pass. That being said, I never got rid of the symptom of being cold and tired all those years on it. As of now, even though in a fog I'm not sleepy tired anymore, as of two days ago I'm not cold anymore. And finally, I did NOT step on a scale (yay, me), but clothes fitting slightly diff and I have gone down just over 1/2 an in in two weeks on my waist. I imagine as my stomach muscles tighten back up to a more normal state after being stretched my waist will be the first to show the most improvement. However, "theoretically" if not on synthroid I should be gaining? hmmmm
