I am 6 weeks out , is milk aloud yes or no?

I posed the similar question a few weeks back when I started my cut. The responses I got on here varied from some from person to person. While some people think itís ok, as long as you count it in your macros, others would rather be able to eat the calories/fats/proteins that you gain in milk. Not to mention the amount of sugar that is in milk. I havenít had milk in over 5 weeks and I have become use to not having it for shakes. Again, it is up to you, but my Dietitian says no to me.

eat/drink whatever you want as long as it fits into your macros.

This ^^ - but if you'd rather eat your calories and have a milk like substitute - I suggest almond milk - 60kcal per 8oz

Me too man, it sounds so good, everyone talks it up on here!

Sh*ts expensive in Aus though, $7 for 1L...I just can't justify spending that much on some damn milk.

Go ahead, I'm drinking 200mL of 2.0% milk and 250mL of 3.2% milk a day and still in a deficit.

personally, and in my opinion, id cut dairy completely out. intake other sources of carbs (such as oats, potatoes, rice) that will fill you up instead. milk IMO is just a waste of carbs...especially 6wks out...id rather intake 30g of oatmeal instead of 30g of milk...and feel unsatisfied n still hungry. and watch the sugar content. no bueno.

Blue Diamond unsweetened vanilla (it tastes sweetesque though) it's awesome in coffee, cause you use 2-3 tablespoons and net like 10 cals maximum.

30g of milk is basically 30mL of milk, which is 1.4g carbs, 1g protein, 0.6g fat for 2.0% milk. In total that's a whopping 15 calories. 250mL of that post workout with whey is far more superior to just whey alone. Yes they're calories, but they're beneficial.

Sure if 3 of them are like 45g of carbs, 8 g fat and 6g protein or what ever, then substitute that for another carb meal you may have in the day such as oatmeal or rice..

oh i was thinking 30g of CARBS of milk. misunderstood. my bad. but why even bother with that little bit of milk? more like a tease for me haha...

pwo i rather have WHEY PLUS oatmeal. get full, feel better, and that's more benefical...physically and psychologically.

I found an unsweetened one with 40 cal per serving, and at first I was like eh. Then I mixed it with a banana and BSN syntha-6 Caramel Latte, and I was like oooOOOooOoOOOOOO...mmmmmm.

what does this mean??

but seriously, think about what you're asking. why wouldn't milk be allowed? don't just ask a question on the forum and arbitrarily choose who to believe and who not to believe. do some research and determine for yourself what would be wrong w/ drinking milk while in a caloric deficit.

I add milk to my shake and oatmeal just cause it gives that creamy taste :)

100-150mL of milk with 50g of whey
100mL of milk with 40g oatmeal

So I have either 200mL or 250mL of milk post workout depending on how my macros are looking for that day, sometimes less. Ran out of 3.2% today for post workout :(
