Is all I need to do is eat 500 calories below my caloric maintenance and do some cardio? Or is there anything else to do?

At 30+% you don't need to do anything fancy, you could be eating up to 1000 calories less per day than you burn if you want.
If you feel the need to add some cardio, look up tabata training or do HIIT on treadmill w/ incline or stepper.

My BMR*1.2 is 2800. So you're saying I should eat 1800 a day?
I will look into tabata training... cheers.
