Portable Air Conditioner

Hey guys, I need a portable A/C unit that can push at least 8,000 BTUs in the $200 range



Does anyone have any recommendations? I need one for a room that is about 12x14"

You won't find a decent one around $200. You can try going into Lowes or Home Depot and ask to buy a floor model. Try to negotiate with them. I have a bonus room above my garage and needed a portable AC. I went to lowes and got a nice one for about $250.

Oh good, ya I meant to say $200-$300, I don't want to spend $300+

And I'm in the same situation kinda.... finally had a room within the attic rebuilt into an office, but the room doesn't have central A/C. And I need to keep my server cool... that room has to say around 65-68 degrees max.


But thanks I'll check out Lowes.. I went to Home Depot and they had pathetic looking A/Cs there.
