Genetics, Quality of drugs, maybe no slin I know that causes alot of problems with waist. I could be wrong about all of those things though just taking guesses.

He never said a word or looked at the camera either. Call it crazy focus or whatever, I call it a boring video.

Nice low production value too. Looks like it was shot with a camcorder.

His form is pretty perfect on Chest. Actually he has pretty great form in all muscle groups with exception of Arms and Back which his form is pretty terrible, specially arms.

Someone probally stated this, but i didnt bother to read so.. has anyone noticed alot of pro's dont use "perfect" form? I never see any pauses for contractions, alot of them look momentum asisted, some barely have a ROM. Just me, anyone else notice? Any specific reason?

Constant tension in the muscle being worked.

What i said and also takes secondary muscles out of the equation. You are not seeing Jay doing momentum reps, what you are seeing is him using a shorter range of motion for the fact that i said, constant tension in the muscle being worked.

Watch most pro's lift.....branch or ronnie (on back stuff). Alot of them do terrible half reps, very jerky movements. Bottom line they can look at weights and grow, they are genetically gifted and if any of of "us" tried that we would end up in the hospital very quick! Jay is very concentrated with his movements and like others said he keeps the tension on the muscle being worked.

I guess if that works for him, but what i was referring to was when you're just starting out, or even intermediate the best ways iv heard is slow clontractions, and a tempo.. 2,1,2 and such, slow up, hold, even slower release. Pros form to me seems like what some of the the teenage guys at my gym do.
Just sayin.
But if someone like me used that kind of form you think id get that big? no. Doesn't make sense to me.

Do what works for you. For example Levrone and Lee Priest comes to mind in use of perfect, slow and controlled range of motion and form.
Than you have guys like Branch and JoJ who have the worst form i ever seen, they look like retarded mutant apes throwing weights around and screaming "Light weight, motherf*cker!!".
Bottom line, do what works for you.

Thats because it IS a back exercise mostly

Personally, if I use a dumbell for the pullover movement, I feel it in my chest because you have to stop the weight over your chest and not keep pulling down with your lats. But if I use a pullover machine and I'm able to pull all the way down and contract with my lats I feel it more in my lats.

Jay's form is top notch. Why? - No major career ending injuries like everyone else. Enough said and I give him major props for that - takes humility to lift safe.

And he's not even listening to music just starring all focused like - that's a special kind of intensity

The best way that you've heard? From who have you heard? You've heard wrong. Try lifting a heavy amount of weight with that kind of slow tempo. This is what females who work with the 5 lb pink dumbells do 2,1,2 tempo. You're barely recruiting any fibers with that kind of speed.

I'm doing pullovers at the cable for back as the 1st exercise, almost 180 degrees of motion

well thats whole different exercise

the one where you lie on bench and work with dumbells = chest
that one = back

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with him training with with mostly machines (I think). I haven't been following him closely, but from what I've seen he rarely uses powerlifting excercises(bench, squats, DL) in his workouts, which a lot of ppl claims 'stengthens' your core, ie. making your waistline thick as (yea yea, broscience, I know). But then again as someone else have mentioned, it might be the choice of drugs he's using.

Yes exactly, my whole point was that if you can get continued resistance past the point of your chest then you're going to contract your lats which is what you're able to get with standing cable pullovers.

Jay is awesome. I had a chance to meet him and asked him what I should take pre workout to energize myself and he gave me his business card and said "Call me after you're done warming up, and I'll psyche you up like a drill sargeant you little whimp...I mean "Champ". CHAMP. I definatly meant "CHAMP"."

Freudian slip but that made my day.

And then as I waked away I heard him him yell " I take sh|ts bigger than you!!" But he wasn't saying that to me because he had his back to me and was facing COSTCO.

I think he might have tourettes. What a hero. Purple heart material.

Read this:

Because I've been a teen before and know how stupid you sound.

There is so much truth there. If only the kids would understand this and maybe be a little more humble and accepting of the fact that they're barely out of diapers.
I know it may seem that you're right, but honestly, you're probably wrong. I blame the internet for adding to the "Teen Genius Complex"

Here are some facts about Jay:

1. Jay has been a pro bodybuilder since 1996 (back when most of you were still drinking breast milk)
2. He has never had a major injury
3. He has one of the thickest, most fully developed set of pecs in the pro ranks
4. Knows what works for him (yes, this still needs to be said)
5. Does what he does for a living, not as an after-school hobby

Don't ever presume to second-guess his routines, form, splits... anything. I can guarantee you, you don't know jack **** when compared to him.
