Surprised there has been no mention of this yet in the Misc section. I'm as excited about this movie as I was for Universal Soldier, Street Fighter, and even Mortal Kombat when I was a teen! Let's see.....Sly, Arnold, Willis, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundren, Jet Li, Randy Cutoure, and Mickey 'mothafukcin' Rourke son! WOW.
Sly's comments regarding the movie are just amazing. The old man hasn't lost his touch in all these years and brags how this film goes back to the basics of a successful action flick. Muscle, balls, acting. Period.
"The action movies changed radically when it became possible to Velcro your muscles on," a clear dig at how the trim Keaton was encased in a sculpted Batsuit for the film. Stallone joked, "I wish I had thought of Velcro muscles myself... "I didn't have to go to the gym for all those years."
Not sure I agree entirely with this slam on Burton's Batman portrayal, but I like this thought process...

It cannot POSSIBLY bomb....Steven Segal isnt in it for ****s sake!
Cmon have some faith, I think the writers/directors/producers all saw what happened in the last movie where DeNiro and Pacino co-starred, with 50 Cent as the villain lol. Give Hollyweird a shot with this one....its just too impressive of a line-up to fail.
Specially for Statham & Li, they are the only ones of that line-up that deliver quality action and big movies. Sly, Arnold and Willis dont have much to lose at this point.....but Statham & Li wouldnt commit career suicide. I'll put my lunch money on it ;)

Not to burst your bubble, but c'mon... what has Statham done to prove he won't be in a bad movie?
Let's see-
The Pink Panther, In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, Death Race, Transporter 2 & 3, Crank: High Voltage... the list goes on.
And Li is not much better-
Kiss of the Dragon, Unleashed, Fearless, The Mummy: The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor?
I'm with you on wanting this to be a good flick, but I just don't believe that will happen.

Mehhh yeah OK there's a few paycheck movies in there but lets also consider the following in their resumes:
Statham:
-Snatch
-Lock, Stock, and Two smoking barrells
-Transporter 1 and 2 (I loved both)
-The Italian Job
-Death Race (was decent to me)
Jet Li:
-A SICK amount of martial arts films that I have yet to see half of!
-Lethal Weapon 4
-Kiss the Dragon
-Hero
I'm not saying either of these guys is anything close to the next Jack Nicolson, but they've starred in top-grossing movies and are on def still on the up in Hollywood. They are both one-trick ponies as well (action/martial arts) but they are both DAMN good at what they do :)

i'll agree that these were great, but they're taking a gamble... i don't think it's a matter of willingly committing career suicide so much as it's a "hey, this has sly, arnold, and bruce in it, it can't fail" type of attitude.
i actually think almost every movie arnold's been in has been entertaining... but i think this is going to really suck.

I mean the sheer amount of LBM in this movie alone...

Guy Ritchie made those movies great, not Jason Statham

This movie would have been the shiz had The Rock, Vin Diesel, and Cena been in it also. That's a line up right there!

Crank High Voltage def sucked, but seeing Amy Smart butt ass naked made that movie A+

I hope it doesn't, but I am fearing that this movie will suck.
On the other hand, if it does NOT suck the theater may very well explode.
That is a whole lot of RAWR to be put all on one screen at one time.
So what are the alternatives? A suck movie or a bunch of dead people around a smoking hole in the ground?
I'm still going to go see it, so I'm taking my own life in my hands.
We shall see.

Any movie w/ Cena=donotwanttowatch.ever
OP,
I have my fingers crossed it will be a great movie. Hope it isn't overhyped and show all the best scences of the movie on the previews.
