I'm playing through SA again right now. Obviously the graphics suck compared to now and things generally aren't as advanced, but damn this game was fun.

Would much rather prefer something in the south. I think a Houston or Dallas would be fun as hell.

Preference two, something overseas a Lodon, Paris, Rome, etc.

Preference three, Atlanta or some other ghetto. idk lol

No southern cities have the same personality or recognizable landmarks that New York, Miami or LA have. They should stick to cities that people more strongly associate with gangs, crime, etc.

I hope they scrap the boredom of 4 and bring the fun back.

(RDR was great though, so Rockstar has it in them)

SA was my favorite. The ability to upgrade skills, and even build was great. Not sure why they scraped it for the last game.

I do hope they have been looking at Oblivion/Fallout type games though. GTA needs to be more interactive.

I would love to see a new vice city, that was my favorite GTA. I think it had the best antagonist.

One thing i just made up in my head to take a spin off RDR and incorporate into GTA. In kind of a triangle formation you have LA on the top left, Phoenix/Scottsdale on the top right, and then a city in Mexico at the bottom of the triangle. Throw in some mountains, a version of the gran canyon, and a bunch of desert and a US/Mexico border and it would be great. You have all the gangs and stuff in LA and then drug cartels and arms smugglers in mexico. With Arizona being more of a whitecollar, clean place.

Def liked the 80s Miami coke scene that Vice City brought.

This. GTA4 blew. Go back to what worked.

Vice City was the best in the series in my opinion. I did love SA, but just don't think you can top VC.

Tommy Vercetti was the man!

Vice City - Loved the storyline, the whole 80's Scarface theme, the soundtrack and Tommy Vercetti is the best GTA character period. They need Vercetti back!

You guys all really didn't like GTA IV? I thought it was incredible. I hope they use the same physics engine as RDR. Keep the realism a little bit. The DLC campaigns on the 360 were a lot like San Andreas (especially The Ballad Of Gay Tony).

the graphics were great but the storyline got real repetitive after awhile

Yeah I guess, but all GTA games follow the exact same plot. Main character befriends someone, they gain his trust and then betray him. He gets sent away from where his home is and then he has to come back and destroy everybody. I loved how decisions you made in the game effected the outcome. My biggest complaint by far was how my ****ing cell phone would never stop ringing.

It wouldn't make sense if they didn't do a North or South one. Chicago, Dallas etc.

The missions weren't as varied or as epic as in previous installments. The "realism" was the whole problem in my opinion. Cars felt like tanks, phone never stopped ringing, driving felt like a chore, everything was brown/gray, etc. I had 50x more fun playing Saints Row 2.

GTA's never been a "realistic" game and that's part of what made playing them so enjoyable. I've honestly never regretted blind buying a game moreso than GTA4.

San Andreas is up there with Zelda OOT as one of the best videogames I've ever played.

They scrapped it because people complained that having to life & eat to customize your character was repetitive and boring. I think those little details are what made it amazing.

That's a shame. I would still love to see a vast GTA world on the scale of Fallout 3. That would be epic, because the formula they're using right now has become boring.

New gta game with the technology of RDR = me creaming my pants.

I hope they bring back in the eating/working out mechanic that was awesome.

I also hope they incorporate challenges like RDR into the game.
