it seems like there are not a lot of carbs in these dishes..
My suggestion is to eat the same foods you have been eating and preparing for the contest with.. play it safe..

this... plus there can be a lot of added fats in sushi rolls from cream cheese and avocado, which is supposed to be avoided when on a refeed

if I get 4 rolls of salmon roll (36 pieces of rice/salmon/seeweed roll)
Thats about 140 grams of carbs
60 grams of protein
10g of fat from omega salmon oil.
You sure its not a good idea?
Also this would be after prejudging or the day before the show

Definitely not a good idea bro. The sushi rolls are gonna have to much sodium for your body to handle which could cause you to spill over if not careful. The morning of the show would be the time to have it if you were going to as you wanna get sodium back in you to fill you out more. But leading up say those last 2-3 days when you start loading and refeeding I'd stick with white/sweet potatoes, and rice cakes/salt free peanut or almond butter. Also your last meal the night before your show right before bed you could do the sushi but even then I would opt for mainly fats in the form of a 7oz. filet or 90% lean beef and 4 tbsp of peanut or almond butter which would be better for filling you out. I work with clients online with contest prep if you ever need any help with contest preparation.

Like Alex A said...use the foods that you have used throughout your prep. If you have been eating sushi daily for the length of your prep and you know how your body responds, then go for it...but the day before or the day of the contest is NOT the time to try something new. I would wait until AFTER the show and eat all the sushi you want.
