Was playing Team Snipers on Cage. Hated that map. Had garbage teammates, one betrayed me, I kick all of them since it's 2 guests playing with someone.

End up getting 39 kills and winning by 7. Now I like Cage :D

It plays great. It's really just a square and a couple of different tears coming off of it. Just looks crazy.

mlg playlist is just a playlist with certain gamemodes/much different game settings

wont include any armour abilities and is a lot of fun to play with a party of ~4

Invasion now has what? 3 maps? Tempest has been hyped as the new forge-world; it re-uses the same forge object as the previous one and has nothing new to offer.

It's not worth it IMO. But it is your money so do what you want.

The new Invasion map called Breakpoint is pretty awesome. First round is regular Elites need to take over one of two small areas. If they succeed they need to grab a bomb and carry it to another two small areas and then defend the bomb till it blows up. Once the bomb blows up the core is uncovered and you guys know the rest.

I haven't even played Invasion on Breakpoint yet and I've played at least 30 games.. it never comes up and the two times it did, everyone chose Slayer on Tempest or Anchor 9 instead. I'm guessing I'll have to head straight to the Invasion playlist to check it out.

Did Firefight vs. on the last level of campaign, can't remember the name, but at first me and my teammate were the elites and the spartans just camped at the spawn and I demolished them with invisibility. And then we became spartans and we camped at spawn and they couldn't touch us lulz. Then they ragequit

I'm not blown away by the maps, but I did enjoy the something new.

The maps are cool, but since there are only 3 in the playlist, it gets old pretty quick. Hopefully they get incorporated into the main playlists.

Breakpoint = amazing BTB and Invasion
Anchor 9 = amazing team slayer
Tempest = good for BTB but you never really get the option unless you play in DLC playlist and get 6v6 slayer on it


EDIT: ^ they are. They have been since release. But you don't have 100% chance to get into a party of people with the new maps, if this is the case, it won't be an option. If it matches you with people who have the new maps then you will have the options.

HAHA I did it!!! My first game of multi team (Crazy King on Boardwalk) I racked up 8 double kills, three triples (Challange) and a Killtacular (I will put it on my fileshare tonight) total of 44 kills. I knew I could get the 300 after starting like that.

you have access to all but 1 playlist

the requiring dlc used to piss me off as i arrived late to halo 3 and didnt have it, however having been pretty active on reach i appreciate what they did on halo3, it rewards the loyal players with faster matchmaking and more choice of maps

i used to think this also however there are some real standouts on the disc

countdown, reflection, boardwalk, hemmorage, boneyard (invasion) plus tempest and anchor9 now, all great maps

breakpoint is fun but it grinds being bashee spawn killed because your team mates waste the slaser/rockets/plasma launcher - other than that i think its a lot of fun

the only ones im not a fan of are spire (invasion slayer), the cage (slayer) and paradiso

invasion is ok, slayer is awful

boneyard is the king of invasion maps, although ive only played breakpoint a couple of times during invasion, breakpoint is better than spire for invasion

Former PC gamer here. Stuff was always free. This is garbage and blatant rip off. $250 for xbox, $50 for gold membership, $60 for game, they can through in some free crap and not break the bank.

lol bull**** are EA the greediest. Activision are the worst which is who owns Bungie now. Youd think with all the whining theyd have a point. Since Reach went from 3 million copies sold to just about breaking half a million in a 24 hour count and going 3rd in the most played, behind MW2, a game out for many months. Halo 3 went from below the top 10 to 7th place, showing where some of the fan base went.

Reach is noob friendly. I was crap in H3 but I'm pretty damn good at Reach. Its boring playing a game where progress isnt needed to be good.

I finally got bored of it this week because I own every Armour I actually want. Nothing else looks good from the unlockables and i dont want to unlock Master Chief's stuff since that will be common. i played other FPS and it dawned on me how easily you can see the enemy in Reach from far away.

Bingo on absolutely everything; this is what annoys me. Asylum is a remake. Reflection is a remake. Pinnacle is a remake. Hemorrhage is a remake. Not only are the standard maps filled with remakes (ie: it takes little to no effort to make these; they have already more or less been proven to "work" in past games), but then they throw in a ton of monotone visually boring-as-**** Forge maps? I love what they did with Forge World; but I'm buying a game where half the maps are done in Forge World? Yeah, lets not blow money to render interesting looking maps when we can just use the same blocks and make everything look the same in Forge World! I would have been cool to include a map or two that was Forged just to show what was possible; but they went way beyond that.

And then they want me to pay $10 more to get maps that should have already came with the game? coming from a Black Ops player, (only 24 hrs played but whatevs) reach is very refreshing.

I didn't play much multi when I got reach cause I was busy with SC2, but anyways, blackops is cool and all, but theres literally no skill required.

It's just a game of who sees who first. I like how in Reach I can see where the opponents are and decide how I want to approach them. I also like that being shot first doesn't necessarily mean I'm the one dying, I can easily outplay an opponent and get the kill.

Two different beasts, but it's also worth noting that Reach, graphically, is superior to Black Ops. Black ops runs at 60fps but it's all static, and the models look like ass compared to reach guns for example. Too bad 360 is a pile of crap and can't power reach at 60fps because it would look nasty.

anyways, taking a hiatus from Black Ops and reach is very refreshing, just sayin'.

EDIT: Also, in Black ops, it's all over the grid. I can finish first half the time and last half the time. In reach i'm almost always in the top 3, because I should be. I play smarter than the other idiots.

^ Basically is discovering what most other people know. CoD literally takes very very minimal levels of 'skill' to play. The only 'skill' involved is in memorizing map layouts, knowing the best spots, being able to deploy and use RC car with efficiency and accuracy.. but is it really that hard to do? no.

In Reach it takes true skill. It isn't a battle of who's more trigger-happy like in CoD. It's about who plays their cards right throughout the fight. A battle can last anywhere between 2 seconds to a whole minute in Reach while in CoD it's usually over between 1-4 seconds.

That being said, you're so much more reliant on your team in Reach than you are in CoD, simply because of the way the game works. In CoD you can run-and-gun an entire team down on your own. In Reach.. unless you have a rocket launcher and overshields, good luck standing near them for more than 2 seconds. That's what I sort of dislike about Reach, sometimes it matches you up with people who are utter garbage and because of them you lose the game. I look at the post-game stats and I see these kids with -12 and -10 spreads at least one to two times a day on my team and wonder how they can suck so bad.

Yeah true I guess. IMO I like Reach soo much better. I dunno what CoD is like now (played 2 all up to WaW) but I like reach because of all the little things. You can make anything, download stuff nerds be makin, and basically make any game type you want. im really looking forward to the changes in reach though

- title update will be soon, should fix a lot of problems

After reading the Fall of Reach I expected something epic. Like playing the Campaign from an Elite perspective. The Arbiter maybe, so in the end you end up dying like Noble 6.

The Campaign was disappointing don't you think?

After reading the Fall of Reach I expected something epic. Like playing the Campaign from an Elite perspective. The Arbiter maybe, so in the end you end up dying like Noble 6.

the thing which i loved about halo 1 + 2 was the mystery, going into ancient buildings with unbelievable technology. reach was a war game, not a halo game and the story could have been a lot better, ie juns death which you never see, kat being sniped for virtually no reason, carter deciding to ram a scarab rather than taking it down himself...

im actually so glad bungie are not making the next halo. id quite like epic games to make halo 4 thinking about it, theyve certainly got the pedigree however i doubt theyd be interested

343 industrys own the rights to halo, i thought they were looking to license the game out opposed to making it themselves, not sure though

either way bungie have taken the franchise as far as they can, its obvious they were running low on ideas on certain areas

bioware need to stick to making rpgs, not mmorpgs and not action rpg

as much as i loved mass effect 2, i much prefer the first one despite the obvious advancements inbetween installments

my one gripe with breakpoint is the banshess, namely how one side gets a spartan lazer and the other a hammer - what the **** were bungie smoking? again its not a massive problem as there are alternatives to take them down but its just common sense to have power weapons balanced for both sides

countdown is excellent, along with anchor9, tempest, boardwalk, asylum and reflection

the invasion maps are really good too, mostly for invasion though

Because the hammer side gets the rocket launcher and the laser side gets the sniper. It's pretty even if you ask me it's only dependent on the people that manage to grab them that matters on how much the vehicles dominate.

Paradiso and Cage are the worst maps IMO so the DLC to me is awesome.

Has anyone else ever experienced thrown-off look sensitivity after playing around with it too much? I swear to god mine is messed up and not acting the way it should be. I'm playing on 2 sensitivity right now because 3 feels like 4 to me. Sometimes even 2 starts feeling like 4ish and then I have to temporarily switch to like 1 and then back to 2 to get it to slow down again?
