Removed 1 Flag Classic

Removed the following gametypes from Hemorrhage due to the size of the map with only 8 players:
Multiflag Classic

Removed Oddball and Hot Potato from Boardwalk
Multi Team
Removed SWAT
Removed Classic gametypes
Removed The Cage
Changed weighting for Rocket Race so it does not have a 100% chance to appear in Slot 3

Removed Multiflag from Boneyard and Spire

This playlist now offers 3 voting options
Firefight
Updated Firefight playlist gametypes to be a full set instead of 1 round. Adjusted skull progression.
Removed Friendly Fire

You can no longer pickup other weapons in Sniper Attack

Maps
Zealot/Arena Zealot
Arena Zealot is now used for all Slayer gametypes
Players can no longer stand on the edge of the generators in space and crouch to shoot below the shield
Asylum
Softkill zones added to the tops of the Sniper buildings
Boneyard
Modified respawn zones for Slayer gametypes
Hemorrhage
Modified respawn zones for both bases
Respawn timers for all Warthogs on Hemorrhage should now be 120 seconds

Gametypes
CTF
All CTF gametypes should now have a player respawn of 10 seconds
All Classic CTF gametypes now feature Flag At Home To Score and Touch Return
Flag At Home To Score disabled for all non-Classic CTF gametypes
Modified Flag Return and Flag Reset times:
1 Flag on Small maps use 10 second return and 30 second reset
All other CTF gametypes use 30 second return and 45 second reset
Assault
Assault gametypes now have a player respawn time of 10 or 15 seconds depending on the map

In addition to the Playlist changes, we’re also introducing two new Forge Map Variants with this update, Cliffhanger and Atom. Atom will be on display in the Team Slayer, Team Snipers, Team Objective, Multi Team, and Big Team Battle Playlists. Cliffhanger will be found in Rumble Pit, Team Slayer, Team SWAT, and Team Objective.

MLG zealot blocks off space, countdown has rockets & snipe instead of sword/concussion rifle. haven't been able to find any other mlg maps on the file share yet. :(

Are you only talking about Score Attack because I was playing Sniper Fight in Firefight Matchmaking and I could do both AND the Mythic skull activated later on. Speaking of which that game went till time ran out which was half an hour... too ****ing long *bow chick bow wow* imo of one firefight match.

What was Crashsite about anyways? Never got around to trying that out and won't for now since they did take it out.

Oh yeah, I was talking Score Attack. It's all I play nowadays.

Crashsite was defending a generator (or generators depending on how many people you had). It was good in Score Attack because even though you only had 1 life, your weapon damage was increased greatly, and you had an Overshield. And infinite ammo, which made it easier to do some of the weapon based commendations while still balancing in the enemy based commendations.

Now I just do Sniper Attack and Gruntpocalypse in Score Attack.

now have a 0.99 kd in arena and its embarrassing... went neg 2 team arena times... loosing one and winning one...

had one account on halo 3 with a 50 in team slayer with over 2.04 kd, with about 40 in snipers and 40 in mlg with 161 wins from 187 games...

still unbeaten in snipers... 15 - 0...

Cliffhanger is a **** map. The towers and rocks promote camping. There needs to be more maps with less hiding places. Long corridors, exposed hallways etc.

Got to Major today, about halfway to Grade 1. I think I might be able to hit Lt. Colonel before the weekend is over. Got all the daily challenges today too, including the weekly.

If anyone can't get it just play Rumble Pit and hope you get Crazy King. I barely got 30 (31) the first time I got it, then went crazy and got 41 the last time, and I won that game too.

Rumble Pit actually isn't half bad since the update. I got mostly Slayer type games, with smattering of objective. I may have to take back what I said about the update. lol

on reflection my team mate jumped off closed snipe ramp and left me with 2 coming at me... i had rockets... fired first one he armour locked... fired second he armour locked... i then ran but of course got pooped on as had 2 chasing me!!!!

its as if everyone has worked out using armour lock give you that 10 secs or however long it last to get help and keep you alive... why did they take pro out!!!!!

on reflection my team mate jumped off closed snipe ramp and left me with 2 coming at me... i had rockets... fired first one he armour locked... fired second he armour locked... i then ran but of course got pooped on as had 2 chasing me!!!!

its as if everyone has worked out using armour lock give you that 10 secs or however long it last to get help and keep you alive... why did they take pro out!!!!!


i'm probably that ******* that armor locked both your rockets, and then lol'd as I saw 2 "rejections" pop up on my screen.
i think next arena season allegedly will be all pro, since this one was all DMR's.

I think corvette is money for head shots, you perch up on that landing just to the right outside your spawn door, and can pick $hit off easily.

I think the holdout room would be easier for the pistol as the guys walk right in the door 10ft away for an easy headshot. Plus you have the ammo cache directly behind you.

eh, i just sit back and let them get close, then i usually pick them off from the ramp (the ones under you) then the ones cross map. also at the start I'll use my DMR to take the helmets off all the harder grunts.

also: pick the sprint option, and between reinforcements just run through the safe room to restock ammo, then go up on the opposite side for the next round.

I notice the game is filled with noobs who like to pick the ****ty gametypes. For instance, kids will pick Infection and abuse map exploits to camp and get high kill sprees. Noobs also like to pick elite slayer, choose armor lock, and run around sticking people and using armor lock. That **** is pretty ghey.

Spent a good hour or so getting all the good ones, so now I'm a Major Grade 2. About halfway to Grade 3.

Firefight with actual people is pretty fun too.

I had the checkpoint perfect on ONI yesterday, where the Target Locater was at the end of the charge, so I didn't even need to press anything outside of the pause menu. I did it 287 times, which put at Onyx Splash Damage, and was worth 19997 credits from the others.

I realized that progressing in the commendations made the enemies worth less credits though. I was disappoint.

It was also quite the blow to realize there was Major Grade 3 between Grade 2 and Lt. Colonel. It's going down this weekend though.

Guys, the problem isn't my xbox. Even though it ****ed up the disc I think it's fine. I have the actual game, not burned on or anything. The thing that I think caused it is the front silver plate thing of the disc drive sometimes falls off. It started doing that when I put the disc in so that's why it started being violent. The console is a refurbished one that they gave me when I sent in my other one to be repaired, so do you think they would cover the price of the game? It seems unlikely. :(

I've got a Forge map I'm perfecting for you guys to play on with me.

Imagine this: Closed off the huge cave in Forge World. Filled it up with strategically placed rocks, put some small lights in, and made it extremely dark. Put frag grenades and DMR's everywhere.

Shoved propane tanks in dark corners, and turned off the radar. Slayer Pro, and you can barely see your enemies. Perfect map for Infection, too. When I finish it up, I'll add a bunch of you so we can play on it.

This game desperately needs new maps. It's getting boring and I've stopped playing recently.
They should release more Spartan and Elite armour as DLC. Once you General you pretty much have everything.

I did matchmaking and got rocket fight. All three other guys quit (hells yea)

200 kills 31 double kills and 35,000 firefight points.

Loved both of those maps so much man. Lockout was so simple yet so much fun. If Bungie brought back that bomb the base skirmish game type on headlong and terminal form Halo 2 I would buy this game in a heartbeat.

I know the basics and I've been playing since the first halo but I'm by no means an expert, I'd say maybe above average at best. the production is pretty entertaining though, not sure i think that because im a halo fanboy or whether its actually decent, probably a combination of both

spent hours on youtube watching previous events while blazing it up, looking forward to some decent reach maps + playlist now

will be interesting to see which pros can replicate their halo3 form and which rise up from nothing, safe bet ogre2 will be right up there going on previous releases lol
