NBA 2K vs. NBA Elite (Live)

I have always gone with the NBA Live series so far, which has been renamed NBA Elite. Which series do you prefer and if you could only get one this year, which would it be?

Why would I be joking? Am I asking a dumb question about something that should be common knowledge to anyone?

Is it like anyone who has to ask which series is better must be joking or is just a complete ****ing moron when it comes to sports games? Well I am not joking so I guess it narrows down why I am asking now. K got me, I'm not the smartest fish in the aquarium.

Anyway, seriously, yeah I am used to Live and I actually enjoy the series alot but am considering giving 2K11 a chance this year instead.

I'll be perfectly honest, no. I went with Live one time because it was by EA and I enjoyed the hell out of it so after that I'd go with EA if I got a basketball game. If 2K is alot better and I'd enjoy that more I want to know about it. Maybe I should download the demo for 2K10 or the next one. Could've just done that but I thought I'd get a little feedback up in this new section!

After live 03/04 it went to trash and 2k took over.

Go with 2k11. I've gotten 2k7-2k10 and liked them all.

2k can be glitchy at times but is far better than the live series. The shot stick revolutionized basketball video games.

Word. its been the best basketball game since 2k came out for dreamcast. What makes me laugh is how people keep saying how LIve is gonna get better and catch up to 2k EVERY YEAR and it NEVER happens. People been saying this for the last 7 years now. Pretty sure Elite will not be on the same level as 2k11 either.

Although 2k has been far superior to Live's series over the last 5 or 6 years...last years version (2k10) was the worst since 2k5. (srs) 2k11 is supposed to be revamped...we shall see.
