For a dorm, at least 40" +. Preferably 50+ if you have the cash. Pull your money together and get a big TV.

Watching sports on small TVs sucks and more than 1 player on Xbox or PS on small TVs is even worse.

I have a 24" and it gets the job done tv wise, not so much with videogames. My roommate had a 32" and that was perfect for everything. Anything bigger than that kinda seems like overkill

IMO, 22 is too small.
I'm bringing a 42 with me this year, last year my roomies 32 worked pretty well for about everything.

First year my roomie had a 26 (28?) and it was a little small for our setup.. So I'd stay away from the 22.
(also in a double)

If you already have it though, it's better than nothing.

LOL at these clowns bringing huge TVs to their dorm. 22 would be fine, I had a 26 last year and it was more than enough.

A tv can never be too big. Just like you can never have too much money, sex or muscle.

My actual dorm room was bigger than the on-campus appts that I'm at now, lmao

My bedroom now says 8' by 11'6", it's crazy small lol. Going to have my 42 in there, gonna seem huge :)

In the dorm room we had both of our beds lofted, with the TV under one, and the futon under the other. Worked like a charm.
If that's now how you're setting it up, then I can see where a smaller tv would be fine.

lawl, more than enough for what exactly?
I actually like to see my tv when I'm watching it.
Heaven forbid I play a game with someone and have to split screen

In all honesty OP, a 32 would be a good choice. I wouldn't go any smaller (having done so in previous years).

22 for a tv is small in general as a lot of desktops already use 20'+ monitors. But since it's for a dorm I'd feel safer to not bring a ballin ass tv. Unless you plan on using it for huge gaming parties and have to split screen, then it's fine

I've used a 22" in two different dorms and my apartment just fine.

I do just keep in in my BR at the apt though. 32" in the living room.

my dorm was pretty small and my roommate had a 32 inch he won at his grad night event, and it was perfect size. i think a 22 would be too small. a couple of rich kids down my hall had a like a 48 inch but i think it took up too much room.

I agree! 32" would do the job just fine for a dorm room.

i'd go 36 or 40 if i was on a tight budget..close to 50 if i wasn't.

Sports and video games dont have limits on the screen size

well the plan is to use it as both a TV and my 2nd monitor so i have more desktop space, i just don't think my laptop will cut it.
