...and wondering if fat burners could help to destroy those last few pounds. Curious to see which ones work for some on the board.
Thanks!

I'd look at your diet before going to a fat burner.

Diet is a little over 1500 calories, with protein at 180 grams, fat at 32 g, and carbs 85. I am a Fitday nerd. Thinking maybe that I should drop about 100 cals a day: what are your thoughts on that?

the math doesn't add up to 1500.... you should check that. also, did you check emma-leigh's sticky in the nutrition section to decide on the 1500? find the right number (undereating can be just as problematic as overeating) and then make sure you're getting it. also, you def need more fat, at least .3-.5 g / lb.

I agree - I ended with less than 1500 on that.
Also, what are your goals? Your height and weight seem to be in check. Is it a look? Are you trying to compete?

Yeah, calories are like 1458.5. This stuff has a tendency to be kinda tricky. I am losing bf, but was wondering if these thermogenics would help to suppress appetite and speed up the process a bit.
I would like to compete sometime in the future, however as of right now, I am my own guinea pig trying to attain my leanest resuts!

The world's best energy supplement/fat burner/appetite suppressant is a cup of strong coffee.
If you're looking for something to suppress appetite, I've had some success with hoodia. Honestly though, a cup of something hot and caffeinated (like coffee or tea) can work wonders, and coffee/tea are FAR less expensive than fat burners.
If you MUST have a fat burner, though, I like the oldies but goodies -- Lipo 6, Hydroxycut, Ripped Fuel. Hydroxycut has always been my favorite, especially before cardio.

How long since you noticed any changes in measurements? I'm the same height as you and cut from 142 to 128 over a couple months eating about 1650 cals a day with a refeed once a week up to 2600 (average of about 1780 cals/day). Your cals just seem close to the limit of lowness for your stats right now, and if you are still losing fat I wouldn't try anything else "extra" until you need to, otherwise you might end up with an empty bag of tricks when you do plateau, KWIM? I also agree you need to have more fats in your diet, though. Good luck!

Those calories are spot on for you. My question, how long have you been on your plan and how long have you been stuck in a plateau? Any missed meals, cheats, treats or alcohol throw into the mix?
Might be time to throw in some refeeds.

Thanks for all of the replies!
Honestly, I have not thought about refeeding yet, so maybe that just might be the thing to rev up my metabolism. But as with treats, cheats, and alcohol as such: nope. I can honestly say that I have steered clear from breaking up the monotony of my diet, which now has me thinking that a refeed must in store. One full month of no cheats under my belt, was attempting to make it to 90 days without one. I am seeing cuts all over (even in abs, which is a first), so I AM making progress. Patience is def a virtue, cuz I have been thinking that I am at a lull and progress should speed up! :) lol!

then you're not at a plateau!! btw, when i did your cals it was lower than the 1458 you said you got. don't remember what it was. it might be irrelevant since you're getting results anyway, but you might wanna take another look, esp if kimm says the 1458 is where you wanna be for optimal results.

As long as you're making progress, then you haven't stalled. It's just the opposite progress is going to be slow...the leaner you are the harder it becomes...so just keep going!
