. I wanted to get some online help and advice from some of the more experienced natural competitors. I want to enter my first natural show in september about 7 or so weeks out and need major help. I think I can be ready by then, however need some advice on how to cut more? how not to lose more size. I went from 220 to 185 lbs, lost major size in my arms and chest. My diet is super clean and has been for about a month now. the only carbs i take in are veggies earlier in the day, protein about 200 grams a day. Cardio 4-5 times a week about 30 minutes, weight training 3 times per day. Any help will be appreciated judging from the pics I have now. help wanted about symmetry, what to work on more, etc. and how to cut more ( lower abs, lower back, etc). these are the only pics I have so far.
thanks

Honestly, it is very hard to give specific suggestions as each person is very different. I can tell you that keeping SOME low-glycemic carbs in your diet is a good thing and certainly refeeding occasionally as your obviously depleting. Weight training needs to increase as well. Hope this helps.

Without knowing more detail, it seems you are under eating and over training. Very low carb(veges only) and 200g protein is going to be less than 1000cal. per day. On top of that, you are weight training THREE times per day+cardio!!!!! I see your setting yourself up to burn a lot of lean tissue. I think you need to reevaluate your plan and set up a more reasonable nutrition and training schedule. MORE is not BETTER with training, and, LESS is not BETTER with diet. Provide more details and we can help you out a little better.

thanks,I think you are right, with losing muscle tissue. I meant i weight train 3 times per week not day, but in any case, I do undereat and that is the only way I can lose the weight, if I eat more calories I cannot lose anything and feel bloated all of the time. I guess I just cannot seem to get what you want to call shredded. I can be lean just not shredded. What is it exactly that gets you stage ready?, lets say 5 or 6 percent bodyfat

i am doing my first antural show too...i was udnereating and such as well..i started eating every two hour for 2 weeks and too kthe time to evaluate how ymbody responds to higher carbs. i found out my high carb in take makes me start to lose definition within about 5 days. but i had alot of muscle gain. also my metabolism went higher cuz i ate more protein and carbs and my body was more resilient to holding the fat, and more apt to burning it. I am now testing out the affects of carb cycling doing low medium nad high carb days ti see uts affects for a week or two. i suggest u try to cut down on the cardio try to jsut eat clean and test things out. let ur body tell u how it works and learn and grow, i dont expect to place or anything but its all a learning experience for teh future man. have fun and try things out. train hard but dont eat more :). this is jsut my personal experience so far so if anyone disagrees with what ive said u could be right i could be wrong idk haha doing what i can for myself.

Hey Mike,

You should do my father's show on october 9th in Rochester, NY. Its the 2010 INBF Natural USA Bodybuilding & Figure Championships, and it is a pro-qualifier for the WNBF.

Also, especially if you are 20 years old, we have the Junior Men Division (which is for men 23 & under) and it looks to be such a big turnout for that class, that we will probably be breaking it up and having Junior men light and Junior men heavy, then have a Junior men overall title! So you could do Junior men and the novice or Junior men and crossover into the open if you wanted too.

There will be a lot of NGA pros that will be competing to try to earn the elusive WNBF pro card, so a lot of people are not competing in shows like the olympus anymore because they started a new "unknown" organization the NMA (natural muscle association).

Huh?? They arent with the NGA anymore? No more pro-cards?

BTW, I have a friend who is attempting his first show at age 46 (or so) and he is probably going to be doing your show in October......wish I could take another swing at it, but I decided to take an extended off season and shoot for the spring (any chance you guys are gonna start a spring show? :)). Either way, ill be there to watch though......im excited to see it grow.

I was browsing their website and saw that. It looks like they are going to award pro cards to the NMA??? They had some of their athletes listed as "NMA Pro". I dunno. I've got respect for Joe and Jerry but I'm not sure if that's the best idea. Seems to me that we need fewer natural organizations, not more. I think fewer orgs would help bring higher levels of competition and more publicity to the sport, rather than all these splintered factions.

Paul, I think your show is going to be a good one. Consider me there as well. I'm looking forward to the fall season from the stands while obese and happy. :)
