Anyone else change class/pick up a a sniper wen you get towards the last kill in tdm? I find if I try and qs all the time I get raped frequently. FFA is ok because I'm not letting the team down if I go negative/barely positive. So I run around with a p90 drop shooting.

So as it gets to around 7000 points in barebones I either kill myself or die by natural causes and change classes to qs class.

I luld on salvage yesterday when 7300 I quickscoped a guy long range which was a nice shot, and got a collateral winning killcam.

Do any of you brahs still record? I'm getting quite a lot of good material ATM that if I was recording would go pretty well in a montage. But idno if I can be bothered if its gonna be a lot of hassle. Was looking at an easycap.

Actually in free for all it has been pretty easy, I got about 15 paybacks w/C4, last night and had never used c4 before. There was that learning curve where you need to arc it and sometimes even jump up to get it through windows.

The trick is to let everyone kill you so you have 7 chances to get the payback...lol. While going for the C4 kills I was dieing 15-20 times.

cosigned. HC is actually kinda fun, once you get used to it. It is a lot more 'tactical', kinda skulk around and be stealthy and such. Also great for getting ACOG/thermal completed for SMGs

I can't spend too much time playing it, as I get the itch to run around like mad. What's funny is after I play about an hour of HCTDM, I roll with my rush class in standard FFA and go ape$hit because I actually play "smart"

also teaches the camping spots. My bro lives on HCTDM and insists it makes you better. I have to agree.

On a side note, I spent 4 games with M/L/C to get the kills for Commando Pro and the 10,000. Those games, I did NOT stop running. I mean, I kept the left thumbstick mashed in the ENTIRE time. I held it in as soon as I died.

I won all 4 matches easily, got my commando pro and the 10,000, and I won't look back. UGH. When I started playing real games again, I sucked. Took me several games to actually not play like a moron. I gotta admit, it was nice mindless fun, but it really confirmed to me just how broken commando is.

I decided to try goofy stuff just to see what idiocy I could get away with, and I was getting angry at what I was doing, even though I was getting kills. I'm pretty damn sure I made a good dozen people rage quit. Hell, after getting away with some of the ****, I almost rage quit myself. Christ almighty is it broken.

I won't get that many. I'll get the FAMAS, the MP5K, the TAR, and then the SPAs, glocks and raffi. I'll be amazed if I have the patience to get as many kills with the other ones. I'm starting to enjoy the LMGs a bit, different gameplay style

I'm liking the L86. it's not as good as the RPD for long distance, like, REAL long distance, but it is a monster at mid and long-mid range.

I re-enforced my dislike of TDM. I'm looking out a window, and a teammate walks right in front of me and looks out the window, completely obscuring my view. I knifed him repeatedly and then walked up next to him and fired my Tar on full auto at his face.

I kinda wish I hadnt bought the new maps. Last night was my first time playing them and by the end of the night I was voting to skip half of them. Carnival-camping, Vacant-horrible, trailer park is camper/knifer. I did win a game on each map, but it was like 30-22each time.

Vacant is garbage, the rest are camp fests, but playable.

I do like Fuel. Funny you brought up the rock glitch, I was looking for that sniper all damn game and couldnt find where the shots were coming from.

How many other new maps are there?

Just followed 2 boosters around in a Dom game for 2 matches and they never caught on I was hunting them. They were just boosting headshots which in the realm of boosting it ranks pretty low.....but they still must be dispatched.

Baffles me why people boost in team game modes. All I you have to do is hit pause, look on the map to see if a teammate is on the edge somewhere not moving or getting killed and respawning in the same spot and 9/10 they are boosting.

more booster hunting joy. I can't wait until I can get the RPG back so I can equip an SMG as my primary for my booster hunting class. Much more efficient for booster hunting.

Found out that, if MW2 allowed "overkill" perk (i.e. you can equip 2 primary weapons), I'd equip MP5K and FAMAS. I say this because I went ape$hit on Rundown with this combo. Spawned with MP5K, killed dude, took his FAMAS in place of my SPAs, and then proceeded to annihilate. No weaknesses. MP5K is badass in CQB and "close/midrange", and FAMAS tears it up at anything further than that.

been working on that whole "drag scope" thing, and on Wasteland and Underpass, I'm starting to get more than 20 kills each match, and they AREN'T 75% Raffica/claymore kills anymore. I find that I simply screw up if I try to hold my breath. Just ADS and sweep across target quickly and fire as I pass the dude. Upped sensitivity to 7 for sniping and it works. Forgot I had it on 7 when I switched back to normal weapons and sucked monkey nuts on a few maps before I realized that I couldn't aim because I was still on 7.

Think I'm going to keep playing "tryhard" style until I hit 2.0 K/D and then just say "fuggit" and start sniping. I still can't quickscope, but I figure once I get the standard sniping/dragscoping down, the QS will come along (I hope)

oh yeah, any PS3 guys have some map packs I can borrow? no $$$ flow right now and probably for awhile. Wife hasn't adjusted to my reduction in income now that I'm back from Iraq. d'oh!

Well since psn is free, they understand one person (one ps3) may have more than one account. Therefore the maps are downloaded and stored locally. Like a pc, switching users does not switch files, but just preferences. So... we swap account name/pass - download to local ps3 - switch back to our user. (the other person changes their pw, but you have to leave that account on your ps3) and voila; you have the map pack.

just started using the tmp. i really like it, with the red dot sight im able to shoot mid range. it kicks a bit, but it helps to aim the sight on the guys nuts and itll raise to the head.

I always get my map packs this way. You'll only pay $3-4 for the maps, instead of the $15.

AK is definitely fun to use. It kinda sucks comparatively, but it really is fun. Sounds great, and it is a "real gun", with a bit of a challenge to it. Once you master the recoil, just use it nekkid and roll with it.

Getting everything unlocked for the SCAR is a pain. I'm spoiled by the RoF from the Tar and the accuracy of the FAMAS. I may not even bother once I hit 500 kills for the 20,000

That's how I used to play, but I changed my playstyle to be more aggressive than passive, and I find sleight of hand pro to be very useful in those situations (faster reload and getting the jump on the enemy with faster ads), while Marathon is great for flanking depending on the situation. I also have no problem with picking up another person's weapon when I run out of ammo, I kind of like it.

And by far the intervention is the best sniper rifle in the game.

it's all about the claymores. I use claymores on my rush class, I ALWAYS get kills with them. The best is to put them, not just in a high traffic area, but in a chokepoint that is both high traffic AND requires a bit of stealth, i.e. around a corner where you have to slow down and ADS to see if someone is around there. I also love to leave them in the perfume shop on Terminal, aiming away from the spawn in that corner, so that the dude spawns, immediately runs past it, and BLAMMOOO!!!

SoH is my choice for my rush class on Terminal and Scrapyard though. I don't live long enough on those maps to really need scavenger.

got my 500 kills on the SCAR. Can't be bothered doing the bullet penetration kills right now, sick of using it. Too slow RoF, too long to switch weapons, too long to reload. Love the iron sights, but the reload time is just too long. It's a catch-22. You HAVE to use scavenger with the SCAR, but it takes forever to reload that thing. Let's see how long I can tolerate using the ACR now....

Yea, Scar sucks when you use non-stopping power and non-scavenger. Try it with scav and stopping power. Reminds me of a dude in a game I was just playing, "GOD I hate the AK, need 500 headshots to finish it!" I said well what are you using...he says silencer + acog...................................

You guys don't know what you're talking about, the SCAR-H is a beast, it's the one rifle that I always have in one of my classes. I resort to it only when I'm having a terrible day since it's impossible for me to finish with a KD lower than 2:1 with it (and I consider that bad when using that beast).

more booster hunting joy. I can't wait until I can get the RPG back so I can equip an SMG as my primary for my booster hunting class. Much more efficient for booster hunting.

Found out that, if MW2 allowed "overkill" perk (i.e. you can equip 2 primary weapons), I'd equip MP5K and FAMAS. I say this because I went ape$hit on Rundown with this combo. Spawned with MP5K, killed dude, took his FAMAS in place of my SPAs, and then proceeded to annihilate. No weaknesses. MP5K is badass in CQB and "close/midrange", and FAMAS tears it up at anything further than that.

been working on that whole "drag scope" thing, and on Wasteland and Underpass, I'm starting to get more than 20 kills each match, and they AREN'T 75% Raffica/claymore kills anymore. I find that I simply screw up if I try to hold my breath. Just ADS and sweep across target quickly and fire as I pass the dude. Upped sensitivity to 7 for sniping and it works. Forgot I had it on 7 when I switched back to normal weapons and sucked monkey nuts on a few maps before I realized that I couldn't aim because I was still on 7.

Think I'm going to keep playing "tryhard" style until I hit 2.0 K/D and then just say "fuggit" and start sniping. I still can't quickscope, but I figure once I get the standard sniping/dragscoping down, the QS will come along (I hope)

oh yeah, any PS3 guys have some map packs I can borrow? no $$$ flow right now and probably for awhile. Wife hasn't adjusted to my reduction in income now that I'm back from Iraq. d'oh!

No. I just got a PS3 and won't buy them. When I bought the first one for Xbox, it seemed like you play the new maps 90% of the time. The only map worth anything is salvage. The new maps are very camper friendly so if you don't like walking around a corner and getting shot by a shotgun, then I'd skip and save your money for black ops. Yes, the camping is worse in the new maps if you can believe it, and when they first come out, EVERYBODY camps. There's also plenty of hiding spots for boosters.

I'd rather pay IW to fix the bad hit detection, boosting, glitches, banning hackers, etc.

But the holo on the M16 does minimize the bullet spread. Making the gun more accurate then using other attachments. It's weird because the same does not apply with the FAMAS. Seems like only the M16 and FAL get a benefit with the holo.

I can't use the SCAR without stopping power. Slow rate of fire, slow reload, slow weapon change, and 20 round mag.

FAL does 55 max damage, 35 minimum damage. Equip with holograph, and the FAL does 40 minimum damage.

What that means is that, with 40 damage at a minimum and stopping power = 1.4x, you are doing 56 damage per bullet, so it's a 2-hit kill at any range, just like the Aug/L86/RPD. Where it really shines is when you bling it with a silencer. It STILL does a minimum 40 damage, so with stopping power, it's 56 per bullet, = 2 hit kill when silenced.


M16 and Fal with a Holo scope are supposed to have a tighter spread so you actuall do more damage from further away.

eh, not quite. M16 with holo has the tighter spread on its 3-round burst. FAL has an actual damage adjustment.

You can tap fire any 40 damage weapon and it won't be a 1HK headshot. snipers have a 1.5x multiplier, ARs have a 1.4x multiplier to the head.

so stopping power + headshot + 40 max damage = 1.4 x 1.4 x 40 = 78.4. Not a 1HK without other factors.


Not true, The AR's get a 1.4 multiplier for head shots. Other than the FAL the next highest damage is 40. 40 x 1.4 = 56. If you have stopping power(1.4 multiplier) the base damage would be 56. add in the 1.4 for the head shot and you get 56 x 1.4 = 78.4.

FAL is (55 x 1.4)1.4= 107.8

SPAs drives me nuts, absolutely nuts. I'll take the G18 akimbo over it for up close any day, for 1 simple reason....lag.

You aim, point blank, at a dude with SPAs. We're talking in the machine gun room on Skidrow. He's at the MG, you walk up behind him and fire, and you die. You watch the killcam and you realize you fired at air, the dude had already strafed and shot you.

That's why the G18s own commando knifers and commando knifers own the SPAs. However, when you are host, this doesn't happen nearly as often, and the SPAs is just stupid good. Land a SPAs shot on someone and watch him go flying backward. That SMACK sound and seeing the body get blown back a few yards makes my ballsack tingle.

Decided to actually play with the F2000 more than just a few minutes. Went 1-7 on the first game I joined about 3/4 of the way through (died like 3 times to a damn AC130, kept spawning in the open)

then went like 24-9 and 27-11, then said "bah, gotta get TAR to 1000 for the 20,000 XP" and stopped.

F2000 is kinda fun in a sick, perverse, dirty kinda way....almost like whaling...you know, once you get going, you find it's all sloppy and stupid and it's not very efficient, and you got stuff going everywhere, but once you're done and you clean up, you look back on it and say "well, it's not the best ever, but it was still kinda fun". You don't want to tell your friends about it and you won't necessarily choose it every day of the week, but every now and then, it's kinda fun.

Been experimenting more and more with the B50 and I can see why quickscopers love quickscoping. It really is kinda fun when you actually hit them. I'm still not able to just run around and use it to quickscope. I tend to find a place and look around, but I think I've found the key to dragscoping and "semi" quickscoping

take the damn shot when you think you have it. Don't hold your breath, set sensitivity HIGH, and drag your scope across the dude FAST. Just take the damn shot, don't try to line it up. Drag the scope and fire. I actually amazed myself on several occasions yesterday. First few I thought it was luck, but then I started to realize it's not luck, it's simply having confidence.

Take the shot. You miss 100% of the shots you never take.

I'm sure my opinion on this will change once I start using the Intervention though. :p

Yo brahs. How much would a capture card + everything I need to record gameplay cost? I don't want shiitty quality, however I don't want to spend an extra $100+ to get a little better quality. I have finally made some bank online and if I can get a whole decent set up for around $75-100 or less, I may strongly consider it cause I have some of the sickest kills sometimes (like yesterday- went 2-17 on Terminal, but I had a no scope, wallbang headshot on someone across the big hallway (srs).

There isnt really an inbetween, if you want to play and capture in HD, then you'll have to spend a good amount of cash. I use a HD PVR, cost me 200 on Amazon, I love it.

If you want cheaper (no HD) then get a Dazzle Platinum.

Come to think of it, there are some cheap HD cap cards, I think QS bought one and is looking to sell it unless he hasnt already. A Blackmagic Pro cost around 100 but it's a computer part.
